Making Star Wars have got some new details on the First Order and some of the new stormtrooper classes.
It sounds like the Imperial guards and the Imperial gunners are making a return and the stormtroopers are pretty much identical to those in TFA, apart from the mouth piece being a bit closer to the OT design.
There's also a specific strormtrooper dubbed 'The Executioner' that Finn will probably end up facing in the film. He uses a weapon that's pretty similar to the riot baton TR8R used, with three spinning blades at the end. Half of his helmet is matte black as well. They've got a rough sketch of him
I wonder whythey wouldn't just have him fight Phasma, if not just for the continuation of that specific character arc. Like, I can kind of see why uberTRAITOR-trooper would be a suitable replacement for her, but it just, I don't know, seems cheap to invent a character seemingly solely for the purpose of showcasing New and Improved Finn.
Not sure how I feel abouta repeat of his battle in TFA.. as cool as it looked. Seems pretty redundant at this point.
Looks like (if this rumor is true) an Obi-Wan film won't be happening until after the trilogy is done (if it DOES happen). But there's a good reason that inspires hope:
They're waiting for his story to finish in the sequel trilogy before creating a film based around his character.

No one is spreading anything as concrete info, it's being open to a possibility and no, under no circumstances is it 'hurting' anyone. If something happens yay, if not we move on, it's that simple. The featured creatures of Ahch-To have befriended Luke Skywalker during his residency as a Jedi recluse. Lukes little friends are avian in nature. Skellig Michael is where the island of Ahch-To was first glimpsed in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The new creatures from Episode VIII are actually designed after the puffins that inhabit the area in our real world. So there should be little question if the design actually fits the environment.
Rumor has it the creatures have razor sharp teeth and are a mixture of the terrifying and the adorable. Theyre sort of like a bird mixed with a Gremlin. Someone once said it was like the Star Wars version of a Furby, but the look and feel is so Star Wars they loved it. Basically combine a puffin, a Furby, and Star Wars it up and you have yourself an idea of what this creature is. Theyre tiny, maybe fifteen inches tall or so. I was apprehensive when I first heard Furby, but no one speaking of the design has anything bad to say about it. In fact, those that have seen the tiny puppets on set are overjoyed by their presence in the film.
The other rumor worth noting is that the puffin that personally has screen time with Skywalker sees himself as a protector of the island(s) on Ahch-To. Luke Skywalker has permission to be there while Rey does not. Rey has a sequence on Ahch-To where she fights a rather large sea monster (we have also heard she wears a black cloak during this sequence over the costume we described before). It has been suggested but not confirmed that Reys besting of the sea monster grants her permission to be at the sacred location by the puffins. However, the sequences could be totally unrelated.

A few billion people just got fried, the republic got destroyed, Han's dead, the galaxy needs the old chosen one Luke and the new chosen one Rey, and we're gonna stop to win the approval of the birdwoks - by pitting an untrained Rey against a giant sea monster.
I'm gonna stay skeptical on this one.
