Switch 2 beautiful??

I’ll say it looks much better than the previous Switch offerings. I’m hoping the increase in joycon size help make the device a lot more comfortable to use when not docked. When I had a Switch, I played exclusively with a pro controller because the joycons were too small for my hands.

Not a fan of the neon combo never liked it much on switch one .

i was glad of the white joycons it fits with my sonos setup and ps5 better .

Hope white will be there day 1 or plain black /neutral.

It looks like a fan 3D render.

And that's not really a good thing.
That’s because OP literally posted a fan 3D render and still hasn’t fixed it 😂

It's certainly sleek, and I bet it will be somewhat more comfortable to hold than the previous Switch, but I wish it had more color. I really loved how bold the offset joycon colors were on the OG Switch, and I hope this isn't the only option at launch.

As others have said, it looks a little too much like just another PC handheld for my taste. I'd like a little more idiosyncratic Nintendo magic.

It looks good for a Nintendo console.

A lot of thier consoles look like they've been designed by Fisher Price, but this one look more refined. I'm impressed 👏

It has bigger buttons and thicket thumbsticks. 🤷‍♂️

I only ever play in docked mode so none of that really matters to me.

Large bezels though is a downer but again really dose not apply to me.

It's mid, nothing spectacular.

In fact, it's worse than OG Switch. At least that has some distinctive color scheme going on. This looks worse than most other handheld PC these days.

While I do like the thinner bezels and form factor way more than the first Switch and the Steam Deck, I have to say I do miss when portables use to be pocket sized. I always go back to references like these:

And the vita used to be on the larger side when it came to fitting it in a pocket. I think unfortunately most audiences have spoken in that they just want everything tablet sized.

Funny, the way i see it this makes the old switch look like a fisherprice toy in comparison

But I prefer the design of the GameCube.
I always thought the Gamecube's case would make for a wonderful PC case if I were to ever go back to building.

They'll most likely make multiple joycon colors again so this isn't that big of a worry, except for everyone's wallet.

Looks nice but the colored rings around the analog sticks look like trash to me. Ergonomics handheld look as bad as the Switch but I don't care since I'll never pick it out of the dock.

I think the DS Lite was the best looking console/hand held. Its what turned the DS into its soaring hit.

Just so elegant, refined, simply yet beautiful:

I do think the Switch 2 looks nice though, like a refined Switch. I do think its bevel is too big though.

I don't like it at all. Maybe that's just my initial reaction, but I hate that the colored part will only be seen on the analog stick cover 99.9% of the time.

It looks much better than the Steam Deck. At least the Switch 2 doesn't have as much wasted space. The Steam Deck has a small screen in the middle, huge bezels around the screen, and a huge space around the sticks. The Switch 2 has small bezels and a not a lot of space near the sticks.

The Switch was declared the next gen system after the Wii-U by Nintendo.

Nintendo confirmed it was a next gen console, not a mid gen. It's also being tracked in sales as a 9th console. Nintendo started gen 9, and PS/Xbox were late to the party.

No one cares about what Nintendo declared as their next generation console, their hardware always comes underpowered as fuck compared to the rest. They could have declared the Switch to be 10 gens ahead of the rest for what is worth, doesn't mean anything. If we gonna make it a generation thing then the Switch was barely an 8th gen console since it can barely run 8th gen games. Switch 2 boutta be halfway between 8th and 9th cuz it'll run last-gen ports but it won't have full current-gen third party support, it is what it is.

Part of it is the preferences of the mainstream, but you also need to consider the battery size. My Miyoo Mini + gets more play outside of the home than my Switch does due to the size factor.

Well the look was fitting because it never was any state of the art tech even at release.... at least it has character. And my kids love it so that's that.

The Switch 2 just look painfully plain, but then I don't buy it for the looks, so it's ok.

Which is fine, its all about preference.

I’m a bigger sucker for streamlined blacks and whites when it comes to handhelds.
