Anyone using PS Direct/Walmart I believe the carrier is FedEx.
You will want to register an account on their site and track the delivery. FedEx will be more accurate versus the Merchant's site.
I found inaccuracies in the past with the Merchants with their timeframes, so the above might be a better way to keep track.

Gamestop called me to fix an appointment because release day is gonna be hell on earth inside the shop so i told him that i can pick my console in a couple of weeks because i don't have any rush, next game i'm gonna play on this thing is probably sushi 2 that is months and months away from release unless sony surprise us with a new release before that.

They might. It is priced pretty high. Though for the PSVR2 and base PS5 back then, there was no signature required based from my experience.

They were very adamant that a signature would be required for PSVR2 deliveries.
...but it wasn't true and they just left it on my porch.

Despite saying I wouldn't buy one because it was a waste of money and I would instead buy a new GPU...
I've been playing my PS5 a whole lot more recently and after seeing a few comparisons thought it would be worth the jump. I also thought about upgrading GPU next year and I just can't see the price being reasonable enough to upgrade from my 3080. It still does the job just fine.
My wife also gets a reasonably good discount at Currys so I managed to get it for near enough £650!

PS Direct has had my preorder on “preparing to ship” since Friday.
It’s almost end of the day here, and i dont know if one day is enough.

I cancelled my Amazon preorder yesterday as it was still saying arrives on the 11th. Kept my Best Buy preorder that has store pick up in r h 7th. Would have liked to have kept the Amazon as I had credit their and get 5% back in the balance, but I want it before the weekend so I can enjoy it a bit before a work trip.

When I got a PS5 at launch from them, it wasn't required. Not sure if it changed though especially since it's a bit more money.

Probably not. My PSVR2 from them didn't...and FedEx also left ot in my next door neighbor's porch instead of mine.

I'm in the same boat. Mine still says preparing to ship and when I click track, says processing. This needs to arrive by Friday morning the latest as I'm travelling up north for the weekend.PS Direct has had my preorder on “preparing to ship” since Friday.

In most cases they are already at local warehouses, and will update their shipping info once they're released en route to their final destination. I wouldn't be concerned.

Already happened with PS Portal, although luckily DPD delivered only a day later due to what I think was a call from Sony after many complaints 9n their Dutch social media accounts. Lol
Took thursday and friday off, so hopefully my Pro comes in the 7th.
