Wasn't planning on buying a Pro until closer to GTAVI release, but seeing as how it's readily available (unlike the base PS5 was), I went ahead and pulled the trigger. Arriving tomorrow.

That was my situation as well, I used some time to cover it lol. At least it came no issues though, and the UPS driver had another identical box for another neighbor which was cool to see. Setup was mostly easy save for my own stupidity in forgetting to put the OG PS5 back together correctly after removing my old SSD.

I can't even remember when I bought something from Komplett, tend to stay away from them. I ordered my Pro from Amazon.se where it was 700SEK cheaper than other stores.
Got it one day before the official launch even.

My heart almost stopped twice setting up the Pro.
First I almost dropped the console because of how slippery the wrapper around the console was.
After setting it up, I pressed the power button and it didn't turn on. Only to press it a little harder and it worked.
Loving it so far! Stellar Blade and FF7 Rebirth looks fucking amazing!!!!

I originally preordered and got the message about November 11th delivery. Yesterday I noticed they were showing “Order now, delivers tomorrow” on their site but they still didn’t update my delivery date, so I cancelled and ordered it again with that delivery date. I was charged immediately and it shipped not too long after.

FF7 Rebirth is easily the most impressive so far imo. Looks like someone removed a layer of vaseline smear from the tv. I haven't gotten to fuck with too much yet though.

All I can say at this point is fuck UPS. No idea when I'm getting my Pro because they won't tell me anything other than it's somewhere in a facility I can't go to. I have to wait until it shows up either to my home or some drop-off point that has no idea where my console is either.

Walked in to the Best Buy close to work, walked out with one. They had five left, including the one I got.
Stopped by Gamestop to ask about the Portal 30th Anniversary, they know nothing. Still had some Pros available for sale but she wouldn't tell me how many. She probably thinks I'm a corporate spy or a scalper at this point.

Called my GameStop- they had one not spoken for left. Came in traded in the OG digital. Got $260 some for the digital, total for new pro was $490 with tax.
Really fair price.

Ordered on October 10th set for the 7th. Week later got email changing it to the 11th. Looked and you can buy now with overnight shipping...
Called got $5 credit and a sorry oops. Proceeds to tell me its luck based. OK? lol. Hang up look on Amazon and now its 2 day shipping. Meanwhile Monday by 10pm. Top of the work week perfect /s

Odd thing happened with my pro when I fire it up and began to download games.
I got DNS errors. My 5G WiFi network wasn’t working so I was forced to change the dns on the ps5 to manual and use googles main and back up.
On my non 5G network RE4R download was over a hour. On the 5G it’s 5 minutes…

I used to buy PC parts from them, many years ago though.I can't even remember when I bought something from Komplett, tend to stay away from them. I ordered my Pro from Amazon.se where it was 700SEK cheaper than other stores.

They used to be one of the "go-to" stores, but I understand they took a nose dive since.

haha good idea. I am gifting mine to my niece and brother in law. We used to game hard back in the day and I don't think he's gamed truly since xbox 1 or maybe 360 lol. If not immediately I'd think it would ship in a few days. It.should be.pretty much overnight as well. It took mine about 15 hours to come halfway around the country, go through 2 distribution centers, and show up at my door.

It took forever to get everything set up. Installing the drive, the stand, the SSD, migrating screen shots, Installing new games, building my folders, calibration of the 3D audio and HDR, moving my saves over. Yeesh.

I was going to wait until next year, but I decided to pull the trigger on the Pro.
I tested Horizon, Ratchet, and, The Last of Us Part II.
Fidelity mode graphics, but at 60fps is amazing.
What disappointed me with The Last of Us Part II on the base PS5 was the performance mode. They didn't upgrade the resolution at all, but I dropped $10 on the Remastere because I really wanted to play No Return.
So playing at 60fps at 4K (with PSSR) is amazing.

I pre-ordered my Pro from Amazon, and I couldn't believe it when I just got an update that Amazon had just transfer my PS5 Pro to USPS for delivery. I didn't know that the post office delivers heavy packages, and am a bit worried about them delivering it today.

I have never traded or sold any of my games nor system in over 30 years. But I'm thinking about trading in my OG PS5 for a 2nd Pro. How was the experience at Gamestop? I'm hesitant to give them any of my personal info to protect my privacy, and I'm assuming they would want to have your phone number, address and driver's license and such for a trade-in?

Really easy. Guy checked my console and controller to make sure it wasn’t faulty.
Did ask to see if I wanted a pro membership which I let him check out as the year membership has a cost but leads to more obtained for trade ins and discounts. So it COULD lead to a less costly buy. In this scenario after trade in and if I did do the pro for a year I’d only save $8. Not worth it so I declined and he understood.
He asked me if I wanted anything else like the disc tray or the stand or any games. Said I’m good and he was good and easy with that.
They had a magneto helmet in a case I asked him about and we chatted about x men for a bit while he was testing the console.
Then I had to pay and sign for the trade in saying I legally owned and gave this to them.
Got my pro box and walked out. 10ish minutes?

Just like with any buying experience your mileage may vary. You could always get someone who is very pushy or annoying.
Best bet is to just come in and say you’re in a rush and need to get to a doctors appointment or something that way when you say no to something if they move onto the next step because they know you’re in a hurry.

Got my Amazon shipment today, only to notice the packaging seal had been broken. Opened it up and everything looked pristine, and I was gonna test it out, but I can't find the horizontal stand? I checked everything in the box, and nothing.
Hard to imagine someone would open a package to take the stand, but I did initiate a return to Amazon anyway. Sucks though, I want to play the FF7 Rebirth we all deserved from launch!

The stand are really just little clip on feet. A couple of inches so double check. If you're using a disc drive you'll need to use those included anyway because of the clearance difference

Wait what? Does the disc drive come with it's own horizontal plastic stands? I was wondering why my PS5 Pro that I got today could sit flat with the included plastic stands.

All of my downloads took forever on a wired fiber 1gig download. I had to restart 2 of the games twice and Demon's was stuck on 70% for 30 min. Guess their network was getting hammered.

This has probably already been mentioned on here. But you could just transfer all of your games on the PS5 to the SSD (if you had one installed, and then move that SSD over to the Pro. This way you don't have to redownload the games, and just download the games that are not currently installed on your PS5.

Yeah, it had to have been. I think mine took about 45 minutes or so, and around 1 TB of data was transferred.
