Xbox is gearing up for a significant year in 2025, with major announcements from the Xbox Developer Direct event on January 23. Here are the key highlights:
  • Ninja Gaiden 4: A new entry in the series co-developed by Team Ninja and PlatinumGames, releasing in Fall 2025 for Xbox, PC, and PS5.
  • Ninja Gaiden II Black (Remake): Available now on Xbox and Game Pass.
  • South of Midnight: An action-adventure game by Compulsion Games, releasing on April 8, 2025.
  • Clair Obscur: Expedition 33: A turn-based RPG by Sandfall Interactive, launching on April 24, 2025.
  • Doom: The Dark Ages: A prequel to the Doom series, releasing on May 15, 2025.
These titles will all be available on Xbox Game Pass, reinforcing its position as a key part of Xbox's ecosystem.
Additionally, Microsoft is advancing in tech with features like a new in-game browser overlay for Windows 11 and AI-powered Windows search. They continue their partnership with OpenAI and plan to release new Surface devices, positioning 2025 as a pivotal year for Xbox and Microsoft.

What's up with people bringing up multiplatform games published by third-party companies (Ninja Gaiden 2 Black and Clair Obscur Expedition 33) as to why it's a good year for Microsoft? If you were talking specifically about Game Pass, okay, but otherwise it feels desperate.

I don't think Ninja Giden Black is coming to Playstation.

Here are the top 10 best-selling games of 2024 along with their publishers or developers:

| 4 | Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero | Bandai Namco Entertainment |

Weird, not a ton of exclusives in the top 10. Shocker.

They need fable and gears to have a year definitely better than sony because i bet that cringe fedex simulator 2 and trans of yohei are gonna score pretty high and sony is probably gonna have 1-2 good caliber third party timed exclusives like they did this year.

So let's go over each console's lineup.

XboxSwitch 2PS5
Sony's gamesX
Nintendo's gamesXX
Microsoft's gamesXXX
Multiplatform gamesXX (when feasible)X

Ah yes, a great year.
You sir have blown my mind.

Do the X's represent where each publisher's games will land?

If so, why in the blue fuck are Nintendo games marked as coming to PS5? If not, I think I'm dumb, lol.

If he tells me it will be a good year for GP...I accept it, but saying it will be a good year for Xbox is a joke that he himself doesn't believe.

Now imagine if Xbox made COD exclusive.

Didn't read but we have xbox related articles and posts claiming this will be the year... at the beginning of every year 😆

But it may finally be true. Ending the year with Indy and the announced games for April and May? Yeah, looks good to me.

People are really not going to be able to handle MS putting out good games it seems.

It's great that they will come out on ps, so enjoy them. Why can't it be a good year for Xbox if they are putting out good games.

Putting out good games and generating scale from putting games out on playstation. How is this a thing to mock?

People like you claiming Sony has no games while praising MS’s 2025
