People worrying about Xbox marketing but not the state of the industry where gaas/ftp/franchises and remakes are the drivers.

Would be funny if the ads are due to them getting their studios in order. Thus a cascade begins from the end of 2024 for software.

There's nothing to be worried about. When I open up the PS store do you know how many damn games I see? It's insane how many games are being released I can't keep up with all these games honestly. The main drivers of gaming don't matter to me as long as I'm getting the games I want to.

You should feel that way if you have a healthy appetite for different types of games. It's so insane not just how many games are coming out right now just from 3rd party but also the quality of these games. Great time to be a gamer regardless of what ecosystem you are on.

Yeah kinda. It’s not a service, yet, unless you go for Gamepass only, but like it or not this is definitely them kickstarting the digital platform future. Xbox is now an app, accessed through all kinds of devices and browsers.

Series S was a mistake for many reasons but the main one is because their console is still in direct competition with Playstation.

The series S has held back games that are exclusive to the Xbox ecosystem from a tech pov and 3rd party games plus it created more of a headache for devs.

They should have just created a Series X disc and digital so at least they have a console that can compete from a spec stand point with their direct competition in the console space.

There lack of quality AAA games is also their biggest issue but they could have at least tried to do more with their consoles to create more positive momentum. All they did was make their consoles useless and NO ONE wants to play a console like game on a cell phone or a big multiplayer game like COD over streaming.

This strategy is going to end up making them a 3rd party publisher which is a shame because I think if they moved on from Phil the Xbox could have survived with better leadership.

Also the portable thing is a compete waste of time, go look at the sells for the steam deck. Nintendo is the only one that makes money off portables/handhelds.
