I'm not claiming they will have the exact same marketing campaign. I'm claiming they will have an app that loads the Sony ecosystem on multiple devices and cloud.

But that is what is being ridiculed here - the marketing campaign and what it reflects about MS's attitude toward the console. Saying that "Sony will be doing the exact same thing" is missing the point.

Are you claiming they won't use a Playstation logo on PC anywhere, or phone, or a PC store, or cloud or TV app? I don't know what your point even is. It's a brand name. No one believes this stupid claim. Playstation is a hugely recognized brand and of course they would use that. Are you actually claiming they wouldn't?

Surprised they didn't stick a PlayStation there, guess Sony wanted to much money to allow them too lol

Good communication. Not going to match the king of gaming ads Nintendo.

If msft can iron out the app’s kinks and integrate a quick cut of handhelds/laptops/pc’s/consoles within a cod/minecraft play day1 on gamepass ad would be a shot at the industry.

A nuke would be the above ad but including EA games (madden/fifa). The point is to let folks know that they can play these games at their convenience. Core don’t matter due to top 20 games sold per yr.

No, come on, are you even paying attention? You said Sony would do "exactly the same thing." I pointed out that they would never have a marketing campaign that said "This is a Playstation" when talking about Quest or mobile phones, because they value their console identity. You responded that you weren't talking about the marketing campaign. I replied that that is what the ridicule is about - not the app, the marketing.

Get it? Got it? Good.

Greenberg I get. Jimbo, though?
GAAS

Jim Ryan started it far as I'm concerned. I like my PLaystation for single player games. I use PC and Xbox for multiplayer games, more PC than Xbox as of 2018 or so. I believe if Jim didn't mandate GAAS that we would have morre quality and new IP in the single player space.

Of course, it's all about the service app . I've been trying to tell you guys for years. Sony will do the same thing eventually. So will Nintendo.

Do you think Microsoft would be in this position if they had sold more consoles? Lets say, the XBO sold very close to PS4 numbers and the Series X/S was matching the PS5. Would Microsoft have taken the same path?
