Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is the big sensation of the moment, with the RPG booming all over the world, with many players playing, while others are discussing the game on social networks and reddit. Over the past weekend, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II reached a new record of its own by registering the maximum peak of 256,206 simultaneous players on Steam alone.

It's quite an achievement, placing Kingdom Come: Deliverance II as one of the 50 most popular games of all time on Steam. However, Daniel Vávra from Warhorse Studios wants more and claims that it would be interesting for the game to reach the level of Starfield, which had a maximum peak of 330,723 players.

"New record. I don't expect it to go up during the weekdays, but it would be cool to get to 300 one day (Starfield level). I like a challenge."

I doubt it, 99% of games peak on their first weekend, tho this one has a very good word of mouth, but still...

BUT it'll have way more legs with that word of mouth, this game's a gem, it's pure fresh air in an industry of dumbed down games that keep following trends and end up creating disgusting looking characters (see naughty dogs game, Avowed in a few days... ugly shit)

Its hard to beat the initial first week player numbers. On the other side its a pretty long game. I certainly will still be playing next weekend. So its not impossible.

I only played it because of Game Pass, and the whole thing came and went for me. I frequently forget I even played it to completion. I guess some people really enjoyed it, and that's cool I'm happy for them. But I feel like I've already heard more talking about KCD2 than I ever did Starfield. Hell, same with KCD1.

Honestly, they should be embarrassed they didn't already reach starfield numbers. It really speaks to how badly they fucked up PR in the last month before it released. just a few months ago, this game had nothing but good will, everyone was talking about it being goty, and most hyped game of 2025

At the end of the day, this game is going to make him and his company filthy rich, and while Starfield has the higher CCU, it came and went culturally like a fart in the wind. KCD2 will be on the immersion sim Mount Rushmore.

Definitely, and very true. I was surprised it's doing as well as it is as such, but it's always awesome to see. Especially from smaller and "lesser known" studios.
