I like how this looks out of context.Puchimas is on every weekday.
And we are embracing that fear.

Thanks to you guys I've dug into my pile of shame and start watching Legend of the Galactic heroes and.. I'm kicking myself for not starting sooner. Looks like I'll be dropping some of the meh newer anime to make room for this gem. I'm up to ep 5 and still debating which side I want to root for.
@InfernoCop_USA said:So the Inferno Cop OST will be released on 3/20/13 in Japan...But, hey that isn't so fair for the fans oversea is it?

Polar Bear Cafe is still airing. Maybe more people should watch it~We need more watchable anime to start airing really badly.

brofistEpisode 44 is the best anime episode of the year hands down!
By overseas they mean the US right? If you have a Twitter account DO IT DO IT DO IT
Sometimes I watch the ending of Nichijou 25 over and over just for the feels. ;_;
there is no easy wayHopefully this doesn't get me banned.
So I'm looking at starting to rip some of my anime Bluray discs to put on my media server. I'm wondering what the best but easiest way to go about this is. I could just rip the japanese audio and burn in the subs with handbrake, but thats pretty ugly, especially compared to the nice fonts fansub groups use.
Suggestions?

I'm not sure but why burn the subs? Why not extract them in a nice srt file?

Come back to us Hyouka
Puchimas is on every weekday.
I think Maedhros is just pulling the "all moé anime is the same dumb creepy otaku shit" card he's pulled before in the past.
We're going with.avatars from NSFW doujin mangas
How do you extract subs to a srt file?
As for the video, I'll just keep them in their raw state like I do my live action blurays when ripped.
Anime is shit! It's really hard not to post anything in the Kotoura OT thread, but I need to keep my peace of mind...

Not true, there are programs like DVD Fab that are pretty good at ripping BDs. If you just remux to an MKV container then it's very fast even with a slow CPU. (relatively) then extracting the lossless sound converting to FLAC and remuxing is pretty trivial. (as is potentially converting SRT subs to ASS and embedding a decent looking font. (actual styling is a lot of work though)there is no easy way

Oh my god.
EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU has to watch this commercial for a One Piece... pen.
Featuring the greatest narration known to mankind.

All I know is that I wish I were living in the same reality as some of the people for whom the anime industry used to churn out Cowboy Bebops all the time.

Yeah but ripping raw BDs is a huge waste of space. Not true, there are programs like DVD Fab that are pretty good at ripping BDs. It's not a waste of space when you get something out of it. It's pretty space intensive I agree. Though, space is cheap.Yeah but ripping raw BDs is a huge waste of space.

Space is cheap, but you can always fit more if you slim them down. Make better utilization of space. It's not a waste of space when you get something out of it. Besides, space is cheap.
Because no matter how much space you have, you're still using space up.3 TB WD is just under $150. What's the problem?
That must have been one hell of a season. Like all these shows that everyone likes came out at the same time. Amazing. All I know is that I wish I were living in the same reality as some of the people for whom the anime industry used to churn out Cowboy Bebops all the time.

Space expended for BD rips however is hard-limited by your ability to acquire content, which at the rate anime BDs are released is a larger issue. (you should be able to get 6TB HDDs this year and that should be more than enough for BD rips) notice how a few years ago people were saying ripping BDs compressed or not was impossible as they had 500GB HDDs for the most part or that common DVD and BD rips were of much lower average bitrate than they are today.Space is cheap, but you can always fit more if you slim them down. Make better utilization of space.
Also, some BDs can actually be improved with proper debanding and such as long as you know what you're doing.
