In the future, I'd love to see an episode by episode community watch of this (my favorite types of posts to read while lurking anime-gaf). Make it so!

Good write up, I don't think I'd have anything to add to your points. I do think a community watch of this series would hold merit because it would help people get through the beginning which many people struggle with, although I personally quite liked the opening arc. Still, it's far far longer than any other show that's ever been community watched, those tend to be 13 episode titles.

Perhaps eventually! I think it deserves to be on the list of possible candidates, at least.

I think that already happened some time ago, or maybe not. I know a lot of people have seen it though. You can't go wrong with Dezaki really. I'm actually watching his last work, The Snow Queen, right now. Very strange show, I've been meaning to post some impressions but I've been too lazy. Perhaps when I get to the halfway mark.

Terrible. I'm sorry I ever doubted those that said as much. Most of the characters are either idiots or caricatures, there's so much wasted time doing god knows what in some eps, and so much bullshit takes place explicilty for the sake of facilitating a twist at the end.

There's some merit in the visuals as the animation really is incredible at times but little else aside from the random fanservice foreshadowing future events in the UC timeline.

You see everyone, I told you that Gundam 0083 was a wretchedly awful piece of work! Don't be fooled by it's fans, their eyes are clouded by nostalgia.
