Story is one of the main reasons I play any game, honestly. But the thing about gacha games is that their stories always have a "to be continued" moment, and that's often where they lose me.
But I find that to be a good thing, because it allows me to simply move on and avoid the daily login trap. As you say, it's easy to get addicted when you feel like you NEED to login every day.
You are right, the amount of ugly girls in western games is totally proportional to the amount of asian games with the same looking anime underage waifu
If you put "Genshin Impact" on the image we wouldnt even question it.

There is zero waifus in Genshin Impact, "underage" or otherwise. And the audience understands it that way. Also, there is no bestialism (sex with animals) or anal sex, like in recent GOTYs. , universally acclaimed western games.
Mihoyo games are the equivalent to the old Disney, familiar games for all audiences. Talking about waifus and the likes is having no clue of what they are about.
I guess there's a market for this stuff clearly. It felt beta and broken to me, not like fundamentally broken but weird cut transitions and such, and the intro just feels like a full on clone of Genshin Impact, which I wasn't a fan of and already itself copied other games. I liked Star Rail a lot more though, though lately some missions seem like text filled slog that I just leave my phone auto progressing through for seemingly way too long.
Considering how utterly miserable some non-anime games are (full of woke-trash etc), no wonder the people are willing to pay for what they find to be actually good.
Still, can't say I enjoyed WW. It tries to be cool and flashy with its combat system, but pretty much fails at everything else. Especially when you set it to English language... Jesus Christ, voice acting in this game is abominable.

Aside from Genshin Impact having a rich and interesting story, there is one other factor that makes Travelers keep playing. There is no shortage of waifus ...

He's right though, there's little to no sex appeal in Hoyoverse games. Normies may call those characters waifus but ultimately they're so far removed from erotic/suggestive anime content that quite a lot of true degenerates are quitting the said games due to "Chinese censorship".
