It looks too bold, as from my viewpoint, it detracts too much attention to the actual title and logo of the game.
What if they switched to white DVD boxes?Wario64 said:At least they have the decency of keeping the same layout instead of doing a combo breaker on your game shelf like the new PS3 layout.
They should go just colorless clear. Like a criterion blu-ray or whatever.cjelly said:What if they switched to white DVD boxes?
Now that might bother me... Xbox doesn't use blu-ray.Jtwo said:I hope they use the smaller bluray size cases.

It's a good name, the "+" stands out for better so casuals will know what to get.Vinterbird said:It's a shitty name, but everything is pointing towards that. Garnet also hinted at it during this weeks Weekend Confirmed, where he talked about it being matte-black, slide-in harddrive and thin.
gofreak said:It seems like they're just changing for the sake of it.
That's also a good way to reduce game trade-ins.. knowing the typical westerners habits, those plastic cases are the only thing that end up preserving the disc...Wario64 said:They'll probably just put them in paper sleeves to "save the environment and costs"
Garnett lee won't know it was purely speculative on his part. But I hope they keep the 360 as is there's nothing wrong with it.Vinterbird said:It's a shitty name, but everything is pointing towards that. i remember when Genesis did thisWario64 said:They'll probably just put them in paper sleeves to "save the environment and costs"
It's just marketing.RadarScope1 said:Which is something corporate America does very well. They do things like this for nothing all the time, every day. And the launch of a significant peripheral and possibly a slimmer SKU isn't nothing. I wouldn't be surprised.

I mean, if you have 360 Arcade, Elite and slim, some would go for the Elite because it sounds the better deal.

shidoshi said:God dammit, stop rebranding shit halfway through the hardware's life cycle! (No matter if this is true or not for 360, my rage still stands.) Either actually pick decent packaging design from the start, or come to terms with what you have and stick with it.
It drives me crazy when I have games from the same library that don't look the same due to packaging changes. Yes, I know I'm anal about this. Shut up.
I agree with noisy.Vinterbird said:He probably has more insider knowledge then most people on gaf has. But the 360 needs to change, it's still noisy, big and could be prettier to look at. It's not ugly by any means, but there's a long way up to the Wii field of pretty design.
This, this, a thousand times this.spons said:Logical move if they're actually going to release a 360 slim.
I gotta say they have grown on me. At first I didn't like it, but now... they are kinda iconic in its own right, even tho the layout is just like the 360.Alucrid said:They all look fugly. I wish they could just do away with the whole branding thing and maybe just put the small xbox circle thing somewhere on there. The new PS3 cases look much sleeker.
Awaiting new logo unveling at E3 :lolReckoner said:Where's the Xbox Live label?
REMEMBER CITADEL said:Hopefully it's true, I think it's an improvement over their already fine box labeling. However, the new labels still say Xbox 360, that's not exactly rebranding.
It looks ugly as hell, and I like the way the front is just fine right now. They better not change the spine, or it won't match up with my other 360 games.Mr.Green said:Man fanboys will jump on everything. Don't you guys need a break sometimes? :lol

It's been changed to Xbox JIVE! and will be £300 a year with access to youtube*JB1981 said:doesn't say xbox live anymore oh noes
BocoDragon said:But I also don't think the Wii is "pretty". It's simple. And also, 4 years down the line, even its look is a little stale in the mind of the public.
I would aspire to something more.
Garnett has been saying there would be a redesign of 360 since Shane was on 1up yours.Vinterbird said:He probably has more insider knowledge then most people on gaf has.
