1080p HDR is still under the HDMI 1.4 standards 10Gbps limit, so thats not surprising. 4K HDR requires an 18Gbps connection (at least for anything above 25Hz), which will not work with older or cheaper cables.

Paid off my Scoprio edition on Amazon with gift credit, roll on the 7th now.
Yeah they are usually pretty good about that in the past, including the recent Minecraft LE.

You have HDR 10, its pretty much identical. Dolby always tries to create their own custom and royalty based standards. Sometimes theyre better. In theory DV is better, but since the studio time spent on these custom, time consuming grades is basically paid for with Dolby marketing dollars, and the end result isnt appreciably better than HDR10 about 95% od the time, dont expect it to last much beyond Dolby throwing money at it. The hardware and panel required are significantly more expensive, with little tangible gain. Yes, some people can juice it to make it prettier, but only on select titles. Seriously, its not worth worrying about. If you have the cash to buy a set that expensive, invest in a quality UHD Blu-ray player that supports DV, and dont put all that wear and tear on the crappy slot load drive just itching to break. Serious on that. Ive replaced so many of them its not even funny. Never use a slot load drive in anything.

Never preordered a console from them but the games I did preorder have always arrived on launch day. I wouldn't worry about it.
I am going to give them till Tuesday to update my order before I call. I got a bad feeling will be SOL or be on a list when others cancel.

I live in Iowa, ordered Scorpio Edition seconds after it went up, and I received the release date shipping notification right away and posted about it on this thread. The only difference I can see is you used gift cards. I also live in DSM.

This unboxing video (at the bottom of post) of the SE just clearified my decision for keeping the Scorpio Edition over the reg One X. It just looks so beautiful, so much better then i initially thought, it's freaking gorgeous!
I have watched a few unboxing vids so far, here are the differences between reg One X and Scorpio editions that i have noticed thus far.
1. The controller that comes with the SE is Blacked-Out, buttons and all (really badass looking), even the chromed-out home button has a blackish-chromed out look to it, and obviously Scorpio printed on the controller. The reg One X you receive the standard controller with the colored buttons, no Project Scorpio print.
2. With the SE, All the foam that protects your console is blacked-out aswel, everything. This one is not a biggy, but does make the unboxing look much cooler IMO, gives it a special feel as i personally never seen blacked-out foam. The original Day One Xbox One did have blackish paperish foam, but nothing like this. With the reg One X the foam is white and looks like your average foam you receive with every electronic on the market.
3. Obviously with the SE you get the virtical stand, reg One X you do not. Bonus Gift! 🎁
4. Of-course box is different, with the SE having a monster X on the front with Project Scorpio Edition printed on it.
5. Annnnd Console asthetics are much different in areas, with texture and color, Project Scorpio printed on console.
I pointed out a few obvious things here, but wanted to list everything. If i missed something I'd love to know!

My wife also ordered pre-ordered the X from Amazon within moments of it going live while I was out to sea.. should I be worried she still has no update? At this point in the game i don't have time due to work to find one on release day.. would contacting amazon do any good? I'm so damn nervous. Just bought a 4K tv and hype is through the roof.
This is the reason I ordered that version, I needed a stand so the limited edition version ends up being cheaper for me.. Obviously with the SE you get the virtical stand, reg One X you do not. Bonus Gift! 🎁

Both versions look OK to me but I don't think either are anything special in terms of aesthetics but I've not seen either in the flesh and I think with stuff like this you really need to do that. It's not that how it looks is that important though.
I don't know how much the stands cost but I'm going to guess about £20 and to me that turns into a copy of Cuphead due to the free stand.

Talked to an Amazon Rep, they said I haven't received one because "my bank hasn't yet approved the charge so I will need to contact my bank." I will try changing payment to my credit card as opposed to the regular debit I was using and see what happens.

Thanks for posting this. It made me think to check my payment method on Amazon, and sure enough it was set on an old expired card. I ordered minutes after it went live, and have been sitting on the "not yet shipped we'll email you" message since 8/20. So I updated the payment method and am hoping for the best!

I just updated my information and am on the phone with them as I type. Payment has been accepted now just waiting on word that I will get the notification like others and make sure this is delivered on time.
Edit: Everything is fixed and was updated to 1 day shipping free of charge and will receive a shipping notification within 24 hours according to the rep. Glad I called. As long as you preordered when able to do so for the Scorpio edition, you should be fine. For the regular console, the rep said its a first come first serve kind of thing. Prime members are prioritized then it goes from there.

Unless your disk is severly damaged where parts of plastic is sticking out it won't cause any harm. The worst is the game won't play

Preordered from Amazon Aug 20th, I didn't received a shipping date email yet. So I sent an email to Amazon this A.M. and just got a response. They pretty much guaranteeing I will receive it on Nov. 8. I have prime but they upgraded the shipping.
The disk has a laser fired onto it, nothing touches the disk so as long as its clean just stick it in.
I'm in CR. You might actually get your stuff from the Kansas distribution center though.
I didn't get my estimated shipping on my One S or Monte do Switch until like a few days prior.

It's fine. If the disc is recognized but the install doesn't go through, you can stick it in, search for the game on the Store and download it from there. You'll still need the disc to play it but you won't have to get a new one
I contacted Amazon UK and they just confirmed it would be there for the 7th. Some have had emails etc but I was worried because I had no confirmation. All seems well. All I can do it wait and see over the weekend to see it get dispatched.

I had no updates on my order as well so I did a customer service chat. Took them less than 1 second to reply with preparing your order on the 7th to arrive on the 9th. My order details still have no info on shipping date but they know.
ALl I got after contacting support is: "I checked and saw that there was some inventory issues. I have changed it to the fastest shipping possible without any further charges form you. So when it comes in stock you will receive an email regarding this and also will receive it within a day"
Not getting it am I?
