HYYYYYYPE! Monolith Soft did amazing job adding lot improvements in to this game even compare to last DE they did with original Xenoblade.

Very excited to see how they improved overall UI, especially for combat

Avoiding previews and most write ups. Going in as blind as I was when I first played back in 2015

I remember the soundtrack to this one being weird as fuck and took awhile to get into.

Don't they save that banger from the original trailer for the last boss? :messenger_tears_of_joy: Danjin44 Danjin44

I never even made it that far originally :messenger_pensive: Shit gets hard

I have all Xenoblades except this one

And I was a Wii U owner, lol. Not sure why I skipped so long.

I want to buy, but I want details on how Switch 2 will improve switch 1 experience, they better goddamn up the res and framerates. Until then, I am not touching Switch 1 games.

I wonder how much additional content they packed in. That trailer is featuring a whole sky zone. Makes you wonder if they doubled the content. This is very exciting.

Not confident that this game will receive a boost for Switch 2 tbh. It's just pure speculation at this point.

I'm not playing this at 30 FPS unless there is absolutely no alternative. I hope emulators can run this well, even though it's unlikely since they are not updated anymore.

It's receiving a boost from the Wii U to the Switch. They aren't talking about the Switch 2 until April and the Switch 2 probably will be a holiday release so hoping XCX DE is a Switch 2 crossgen title seems farfetched. It's more realistic that Metroid Prime 4 would be a Switch 2 game given how little they have talked about it since the teaser for it.

Yeah this is what I care about most right now. I've already seen the switch make every other xenoblade game blurry, X will be the next casualty I'm guessing

The english voices sounding good just like original release and for its setting it makes much more sense to play with english voice.

And with that we officially have ALL Xenoblade series on single platform.

Zero chance I buy this until I find out Nintendo plans for Switch 2

If they release it as a full priced re-release on Switch 2 next year with no upgrade option, waiting will have paid off

They already confirmed that you can play your switch games on Switch 2.

I just wanna know what are the switch 2 enhancements. If they're minor, I can jump into XCXDE and enjoy that game that I love with new content and I'll grit my teeth and play it with dynamic resolution turning it blurry whenever the action picks up. That's my assumption of its performance based on the other 3 switch xenoblades.

But if the switch 2 enhancements are significant, I'd be crazy not to wait since switch 2 comes out the same year. I have already played the game after all.

It's a bit like playing FFVII Rebirth on the base PS5 compared to waiting a little for the PS5pro or pc version, that game is so much better now

Even if that was case I'm still going to buy Xenoblade X DE day one then play it on Switch 2, because I fear I might not able to find physical copy if I wait until Switch 2 arrives.

That doesn't answer the question

Will it already be enhanced on Switch 2 with a 4K/60 fps mode or something or will you have to buy it again for Switch 2 to get improvements?

If it just runs on Switch 2 at the same resolution and frame rate as Switch 1, will you be happy with that?

Well ponder this...if the Switch is getting XCX Definitive Edition...what does that leave for the Switch 2?
Monolith Soft brand new game, they released original XC DE that had Future Connect episode that connects to XC3…..so there is good chance XCX might get follow up and XCXDE’s extra story my hints to that follow up game……at least that’s what I think.

Sure. But my point is...there is really no point in waiting on a XCX Switch 2 version and just sounds like they don't plan on buying the game anyway. And besides if you like the franchise why wouldn't you buy it? Seems pretty silly.

On the subject of follow up game I think the postgame content is gonna probably have Xenogears, Xenosaga, Xenoblade and X all converge and lead to another game where maybe all those characters converge on each other.

Most likely something Xenoblade related and not a new IP, Takahashi was on record saying that between all their pitches, only the Xenoblade ones managed to get approved. This was some years ago though.

I would bet on a Xenoblade soft reboot since the "Klaus trilogy" is over. A new trilogy or something similar. It should be already in development at this point, not sure if the main team is developing XBXDE, maybe it's just a skeleton team + help from the support team. Source: my ass.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Heads up, this is now available at Costco for pre-order, if you're a member

$52.99, free shipping. Considering that first party Nintendo games (and Xenoblade games, specifically) rarely get discounted - especially physical copies - I'm planning on picking this up from them.

EDIT: based on my online searches, unlikely to get delivered on release day. Usually 5-7 business days after release, for the free shipping option. Hmmm wondering if it's worth saving $7.

Read that all versions are based on the western Wii U release which had some level of censorship but someone told me the Japanese version was ported from the uncensored one. Anyone got the correct data? Might have missed it if it's in another thread.
