Shia LaBeouf is going INSANE

Having a broken brain does not mean suicide. Not everybody with a mental illness has suicidal thoughts. Also if you know that money cannot solve all mental problems than why are you trying to argue since he has money he shouldn't be like this? If you have seen it first hand then you should know money cannot solve these problems. Does it give you better care? Yes it does. Does that better care automatically fix the problem? No it doesn't.

Just because you don't believe he has a mental illness does not make him free of a mental illness. You can believe a lot of things, doesn't make you right at all.

The fundamental issue is that he's in a much better position to get treated if he has an illness than 99 percent of people alive. If your goal is to somehow make me feel sorry for him. Im not going to. I feel bad for the ups driver who wakes up at 6 am every day to drive a shitty truck. If there was a thread about him feeling depressed who would even click that shit?

You have a sad? Aweee

Im not forgetting that he is human. I dont believe he has a mental illness for a second. And yes to all your questions. If he had a 'broken brain' he would have offed himself a long time ago.

Mommy's internet filter from Target not doing its job really well. You sound like an elementary schooler.

All this stuff sounds really cool.

You have no idea what you're talking about...seemingly on ANY level...and you dig the hole of ignorance deeper with each post. Please keep posting!

What? You couldnt sound more contrived and by the book if you bought the 'contrived and by the book' book. Its cool bro. I like the way you post the safest option on the internet so people think youre cool.

The ups driver has enough money to be treated though, that's a bad example. If you said somebody on welfare then I could agree, but the fact of the matter is that mental illness is not super omg expensive to get help with. I am not rich and I am getting help. You do not have to be the super rich to get help like you keep implying. My goal isn't to make you feel sorry for him, my goal is to get you to see that even though he is a celebrity, he is just like you and me in the end. The ups driver and Shia are both humans and can both have the same problems. Also I want you to see that money cannot solve every issue like you think it so magically can.

Before Shia LaBeouf got arrested and thrown out of a Broadway show ... he argued with a homeless guy on the streets of New York ... over a hat.

According to an eyewitness, a few hours before his arrest ... Shia confronted a homeless guy on the street. It appeared to the witness as if Shia thought the hat was his and Shia was trying to get it back.

You can see in the photos ... Shia is chasing after the homeless guy as he runs around holding the hat.

The eye witness tells TMZ, Shia was acting as if he knew the guy, but Shia seemed "whacked out" and was making no sense. The witness claims Shia kept saying, "It's me, Shia."
Wow. Its funny but sad at the same time.

I would genuinely be terrified if Shia waa chasing me down yelling, "it's me Shia." Like yeah I know, crazy, that's why I'm running.

Really hope he gets help though.

The voice of truth.

How do we have the same problems? You ever live paycheck to paycheck? The amount of stress that causes? Having to decide between gas or food? Its nowhere near the same. Its a whole different universe. Money doesnt fix all problems? Really? How many rich miserable people do you know?

If you want to approach the problem empathetically, it's probably worth remembering that the brain treats anxiety and depression essentially the same, regardless of class.

Wonder why no one's talking about the only relevant part of this story - that tasty Caribbean mix of Happy that's playing while he chases the poor homeless man.

Is the guy in your avatar the one off Peep Show, or the guy off Might Boosh?

Quite a few, you cannot buy love, companionship, friends. Also why do you act as if Shia has not worked for his money? Do you think he was handed it? Acting is a job last time I checked. And I have lived paycheck to paycheck, so yes I do know what it is like. If you have to decide between gas and food then you need to properly budget your money.

I have had a mental breakdown from stress, was in the mental hospital for a week. I learned a lot while I was in there. One of the things I learned is no matter how much money you have, it doesn't solve mental issues. Rich people were there and were far worse off than me. So please tell me now that rich people magically get better from having money.

So if youre poor and dont have love, companionship or friends? How many rich dudes have insanely hot wives? Hmm..let me think. All of them. He could check into a Malibu beach resort treatment center today if he wanted to.

Really? Alright I am done. I guess I got trolled. If you are serious please live more and stop stereotyping people based off their income.

I know a lot of rich people actually, who are in bad mental states. Go ahead an spin this as some anecdotal evidence that doesnt matter, but I am answering your question. I used to work with very, very rich clients who would trust me with a lot of things. I still talk to some of them from time to time. Believe me, even they have problems. Money doesnt fix any problems.

This is not easy to admit, and it took me a full year to even have the will to speak about it on an anonymous internet forum, but I am going through mental health problems too. This is NO WAY makes me an expert on the matter, jut trying to give you my perspective.

I grew up having a fairly comfortable life due to my parents job, and right now I am not homeless or don't have to wake up everyday at 6 am as you put it. I live in a country where most healthcare is free, and there are tons of really nice facilities and treatments centres for people such as myself.

I swear, I have sat in front of my computer screen, staring at the phone number to a lot of these help lines, and just holding my phone and not being able to dial. It's something that I will never be able to explain. There is a phantasm holding your back. It's denial, embarrassment, fear of judgement, fear of death, and so many other things combined that all prevent you from seeking help.

Now, take someone such as Shia LaBeouf. I cannot claim to know whether he is lying or not, but the worst thing someone can do to you - at least in my opinion - when you are going through a mental illness, is to dismiss you. I have been dismissed by others, and all I can say is it paralysed me for a few days. I felt as if someone had carved a hole inside my chest and dumped me somewhere. It's so fucking brutal, one of the worst feeling I have experienced.

Take him being dismissed and made fun of in this state, and multiply that by the thousands. Everyone on social media and new channels is making fun of you, calling you an attention-whore and just shitting on you. Only thing that this leads to is a worst state. Due to my own state, I have been reading a lot about mental issues, and a lot of people don't have the will to just plain out ask for help, so they act out in out-of-character ways in order for others to notice them and confront them about it. Sadly a lot of the times this gets dismissed and people just say "haha, look at that wacky guy!!"

The problem is way too complex for people to just say 'he has money fuck him'. Every time I think back at the moment when I tried to kill myself, I do not remember a single thought that was going through my head. All I remember is me holding the knife in my hand, and just static in my head.

Sorry about the rant, I just get frustrated when people shit on someone and dismiss them, without educating themselves. And hey, if we find out in X amount of time that this was all an act, I am not going to apologize or "eat crow" for this post. This is beyond this one person, it's about understanding mental health, and how incredibly difficult it is to deal with.

Shia undoubtedly has more than enough money than the average mentally ill person to not only get treatment immediately but a much higher quality of treatment than most could ever afford. The issue is whether or not he has the personal wherewithal or the support group necessary to recognize he needs treatment and then actually enter treatment.

I feel bad for the guy. He's obviously in a really bad place right now. I hope he gets some serious help, because he's a good actor.

He need to admit he has problem first....

Wow man, thank you for this insightful post. I'm sorry to hear about the issue you have with making that phone call. I only know from a close friend, not personal experience, how hard that must be. She has a crazy life, three kids, one that is five, autistic and suicidal, she works seven days a week, is divorced, and barely gets support. She also is bipolar and manic depressive, and despite all of that, just can't get counseling, no matter how much I've encouraged her in various ways. She even scheduled one appointment once but cancelled it soon before because she was panicking about it.

Depression is an actual disease, not exactly the same thing as 'feeling depressed'

My father suffered from depression back when he was a kid, coming from a poor family even by 3rd world standards. Today, even as he lives very comfortably, having achieved social and economic security years ago the symptoms still come and go. It doesn't have to do with wealth and to suggest that it does is laughable

Most likely he does not. Having money to afford the help is only one small part of getting help. Since he's a celebrity, most people will just kiss his ass and let him keep doing all this dumb shit. He needs someone to be blunt with him, and maybe even force him to go get help at this point.

Believe me, even they have problems. Money doesnt fix any problems.

"any problems"? Yeah eh no.

In the US for example the healthcare system is completely fucked. With lots of money you can get lots of healthcare. Without money, you get no healthcare at all. You may still get a serious disease, but that's not the point.

Plenty of problems are just gone or at least not as bad, when you have lots of money.

Maybe you are insured, but the insurance doesn't want to pay in a special case. Are you able to afford an attorney? A good attorney? Then you are better off in that situation. Other people aren't able to afford one.

Don't feel too bad, most UPS drivers make between $20 - $30 an hour. I'd kill for that.

Feel my pain lol.

That's not true, we do have this thing called medicare for the poor. While its not the best you can still get some treatment. Then there's people like me who are vets and get free healthcare for life. So yeah, while money helps, its not the grand fixer you make it out to be.

Yeah, that poor driver... Oh wait.

Maybe you should stop being a idiot.

Say you got a rare disease and need to see an expert. But there are just a few experts world-wide. Who is going to pay the travel expenses? Someone like Shia here will pay that out of his pocket.

Anyway take me for example. Incurable non-visible disease. Thankfully I have a nice job. Because of that I was able to afford a new type of medicine for some years, because my medical insurance company didn't want to pay. If I wouldn't have gotten it, I would be dead by now. And I was able to get an attorney. And in the end I got that medical insurance company to pay. I'm currently waiting for the 2nd approval, because the old one ran out and they take their bloody time. Without money, I would be totally fucked by now.

And sadly there are children out there with the same disease. And the parents aren't always able to afford that new medicine. Which means the child will get stuff like prednisolone (or even chemo therapy) for years, which is extremly bad especially for children.

btw. I'm not from US, but from some country in Europe. And we got mandatory health insurance here. But this whole thing still happened to me.

Nice. Thanks for the insult. I'm living in Europe btw.
There are delivery companies in my country, who pay extremely shitty. Drivers are actually only paid PER successful delivery. If they are unable to deliver anything (for example because the receiver is not at home), they won't get paid a dime.

That's why they deliver often in the afternoon. I got several pakets at 21:00 and sadly I know the reason why they have to do this.

I completely understand what you are saying here. It was a mistake on my part due not wording it right. I should have said money doesn't fix mental problems.

Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

Never work in Hollywood, people.

You know that driver part was for that grimlock dude right? Unless that's alt account... :p

That article left out the part where he was escorted out by the police in tears. A friend of ours was at the performance and saw the whole thing.

Shia LaBeouf has reportedly checked into rehab, according to X17.

The 28-year-old actor was seen leaving his Hollywood Hills home for a private facility, where stars have sought help.

“Shia was nervous; he didn’t look good all morning. He was looking down and wasn’t even talking to his driver. It looked like he didn’t want to do it, but he knew he had to,” a photog from the agency shared.

In case you didn’t know, Shia was arrested last week after being disorderly during a performance of the Broadway show Cabaret.

hopefully he gets the help he needs

On the one hand I feel bad for him.

On the other hand, I feel like this is a textbook media frenzy ploy, used to fuel a fading career.
