Unlike most people in GAF who shitting on this from the beginning I actually really liked Wilds and this free title update so fucking exciting.
Exited for something that always has been in MH from the start, exited to have a streamlined arcade experience instead of deep and meaningfull experience? May i ask why you feel that way? Why couldnt MH be left alone, its not like players can shoose 1million other streamlined titles to play

These new armor sets look cool.

When World came out most old fans thought it was worse MH ever created and then Rise came out same thing happened and now with Wilds…..I no longer give rat ass people whining every time new MH comes out

Don’t like where the series going? Then don’t buy it.

Zoh Shia and Slightly Harder Rey Dau should already exist, Gathering Hub should have already existed, Canteen should exist, Layered Alma before Layered Weapons lol, so the only thing new is Mizu?

$70 Early Access Game rushed out for that Fiscal Year report.

@bender Really Street Fighter? Does SF6 lack depth of the others or do you think it peaked with SF4 Ultra? Out of the remakes for RE the best one I feel that retained the soul was RE2. RE4R is more or less a chill dudebro Third Person Shooter. I much prefer the atmosphere and ambience in RE4 OG. There is more then that but I'd rather not completely roast RE4R. Can't wait to see how they massacre RE5R.
the gathering hub at least ll bring some of the feeling of MH back, even if i dont like this "hippie vibe" that this game have, i wish they followed World themes.

and dont tell me that this dosnt looks exactly like MHwilds.

for not caring you sure tried defending stuff like the terrible beta performance and graphics, which unsurprisingly turned out to be representative of the final game after all, quite hard by making up nonsense about intricate world simulation which ofc turned out to be......well, made up.

I'm excited for the update, but let's not pretend this isn't them finishing the game with things that were always there in MH releases like the gathering hub and the canteen. Not to mention that Zoh Shia armor should have been something we got at release as a high rank fight post-game or something along those lines. Only true new stuff is they bringing Mizutsune and introducing arch-tempered apexes.

Yeah that's primarily what the big deal is. I think it's fair for people to be excited but also fair for others to see it for what it is.

This.

Couldnt care less about all the whining. The game is fun and the content update is looking good.

Loving the look of the new gearsets and all the added content seems great.

As much as people love to whine, this is why I like the live service model. It keeps adding content (free and paid) and events to keep the community engaged.

It could have been all this but also a good game with depth and complexity. I dont know why you guys are stuck in some image that the new format of MH has to be just this streamlined dumbdowned variant of MH. Maybe there could have been 2 different kind of servers, the streamlined and easy one and deep and complex one. I dont know, but im atleast open to give both side something, not just hellbent to swallow this shit we have now.

I'm not stuck in anything. It's not me wishing the game is something it isn't.

At least we're not wishing it was a Burger King Whopper, thinking it is haute cuisine.
I'm just saying back in my day we Monster Hunters ate at a Fatalis Steakhouse and not Felyne Fast Food.

At least MH Rise's Mymochi and Dippin Dots had a great song to cheer me up when I wasn't idling in Kamura Village eating Dango with my Wyverian Girls.

Nothing to do with rushed out, Capcom simply loves to dripfeed content since World. Lagi and Zoh shia equipment was already datamined during the beta, yet we need to wait for freakin title updates to see them.

This dripfeed is my main concern with Capcom. World and Rise are absolutely packed with content once all the updates are done, but previous G-Rank entries were jampacked without this bullshit dripfeed.

I mean if people will buy at launch no questions asked and Capcom can wring them out it's a winning strategy dating back to Asura's Wrath. I think it might be forgivable to dripfeed if the game had some modicum of challenge but since it doesn't you steamroll through the content very quickly. But really this is just a repeat of Base Rise with the Narwa incident.

Why put a complete game to market if MH folks will buy it in a incomplete state?

Killjoy-NL Killjoy-NL No just lots of fire. No rainbows in sight.

I enjoyed my 90 hours with the base game and I'm looking forward to lots more content in the years ahead

isnt Wilds your first MH game ? so why are you whining about long term fans been disappointed with the game ? go enjoy your game and let ppl complain about a product ( thats is good but has major flaws ) that they invested time and money for years.
It's my second, my first MH was World. Wilds > World.

And I was just pointing out that despite lots of MH fans complaining, I'm enjoying the game and I'm happy with the support.

Any particular reason why you don't put that guy in place who out of nowhere started talking about Wilds 'fans' enjoying McDonalds happy meals?

Yep, it's Rise/Narwa bullshit all over again. Rise was also had very easy story mode and easy High rank. Only became challenging when stuff like Primezeno and Super Risen Shugaru etc dropped.

World was also relatively easy compared to older MH but Rise and Wilds have gone too far.

because the game is a happy meal if you compare to other MH games, its easy, almost dont punish your for nothing, high invincible frames, infinite ammo and coating, perfect guard and parry for almost every weapon and i could go on. I dont think he is wrong, like i said, game is good, but has major flaws, you guys that does this kind of defense force for a game makes it feels that everyone that has a complain is a grifter and thats is not how it works.

the support imo has been abysmal, its almost a month and there is no patches to address performance on PC on a game that sold greatly on the platform.

How am I a defense force?

I'm just wondering why people spend a month complaining about a game they don't like, because it's not what they wanted it to be.🤷🏾‍♂️

i m complaining about the game since its release and i like the game, i platinumed ( it was a terrible experience ) and have right now 210 hours into it, complaining about something is not hating or "grifting", its just that ppl have been able to see it short comings even if its a product that they love.

Being to able to be critic with the things you love is a good and imo very important trait. Otherwise people end up growing complacent and eating whatever they are served.

I went through a similar thing with Dragon's Dogma 2. I was hyped to hell and back, had a lot of fun during my playthrough but ultimately I could see that the end product was quite far from what I was expecting.

That's quite a stretch.

Some act like those who like the game don't see any flaws in the game. There are more than enough.

But not everyone likes the 'old' MH.

DD2 hurt. Wilds needs some tweaks, but it's (imo) not a disappointment -- really enjoyable overall. But, definitely needs some tweaking.

But many many many do, and we cant say that? Just you has the right to speak couse you love this version of mh that we have?

I’m not the biggest fan of wilds and how much they streamlined things, that said I went back to play SnS in world and uh… I can’t. It’s so much better in wilds it might as well be a different weapon. Feels so stiff in world after playing it here.
And that’s the thing. Wilds isn’t garbage through and through, there’s some good stuff here, but it’s buried under a lot of issues that take away from the experience as a whole. I like the game but overall enjoyed world and rise more.
I’m sure G rank wilds will fix a lot of complaints (challenge, monster count, ect) but it does kind of suck to have to wait at least a year for that expansion.

If we like a game we can't criticize it obviously. Wilds is a fun game but as a MH player since Freedom Unite it's very much about Monster Battle Arena and any form of preparation or hunting for the hunt is paper thin.

There's like only one time you have to find a monster and that's the story encounter with Nu Udra where they won't mark it on the map until you find it. And that's it. Monster radar in full effect afterward.

I'm at HR 58, and seem to have the skills I want from my equipment, even though it's rarity 6 and 7. I have 2 rarity 8 weapons, one of which is Artian. Other than decorations and armor sphere grind, what else should i be doing? Just cleaning out my side quests? ATM, the end game seems a little bare so I'm glad about the new update next week.

Very apparent that these next 2 TUs will correct the content that should have shipped at launch. I'm glad it's happening though, and just hope it doesn't mean an early end to content before the expansion.

Pick up another weapon and experience a significantly different game.

I'm happy there's new content coming. This isn't the first MH game I've tried but the first one I've ever completed the main story and bothered to play afterwards. It's mainly because of the difficulty, I don't like hard-mode only games.

Nobody said you can't criticize the game.
Stop acting like a bunch of victims. It's pathetic.

I'm just wondering if there aren't more productive things to do in life, other than spending a month in an OT complaining.

But if that's what you want to do, you do you.
I'm not even reading most of it anyway.

Doesn't read most of it but replies to every post criticizing the game. Would make more sense to play the game instead of spending a month defending it.

I don't reply to most posts. I responded to those responding directly to me.

And I'm barely active in this OT because I was busy playing the game.
Although currently I'm playing AC, waiting for the MHW content update next week.

Got my first AND second critical boost 3 decorations in the same hunt, at HR140.

off work shift over GIF
Wew, you made it to HR140

I think you might be the highest HR in the GAF squad now

I had to stop at HR110, the backlog was getting too long and I was getting burned out of killing Arkveld and Gore Magala over and over

Also I finally got an Expert Jewel III, they really do exist. I saw that and realized yes it was time to play other games for awhile lmao
