Holy shit... I never thought to try pulling him down with the slinger. I tried shooting shit at him though lol.I was with some people fighting a Tempered Gore Magala when all of a sudden Rove started monologuing
So I did what any civilized hunter would do, I disengaged from fighting the stupid frenzy dragon a moment so I could find him on the ceiling and pull him down
There's nothing I won't do for my man Rove
Sure, but we're also talking 407K CCU rn for Wilds vs ~230K CCU for World in the same timespan. (Around 2.5 weeks post release)
MH World dropped from 335K CCU (aug 12 2018) down to 44K CCU (october 30, 2018) in ~2 months on Steam.
Drops happen, but numbers are higher now.
True, but the point was more the drop off in CCU, not so much the size of the playerbase.Comparing World vs Wilds CCU's isn't really fair though as World was on console 6 months before PC so a significant number of people will have played on console and already been done with the game by the time PC came out.
Infinite Ammo(this is present with Bow already) and no need to sharpen and no need to manage Inventory or worry about Max HP and Max Stamina and of course make your big attacks be unpunishable.I wonder how they can "streamline"
dude, you dont even need to go that back to feel what a MH game should be, after 200 hours of Wilds, i booted Rise and geez, not having a Palico that heals you every 3 seconds, not having focus mode changes all gameplay, have to position yourself after every attack , sharpness loss is significantly higher and Rise isnt even a hard game, but these changes alone already make a huge impact in gameplay.I wonder how they can "streamline" this serie even more going forward? Maybe Sharpnes and sharpening should go, that has to be enoying for the new gen of gamers coming to MH. Maybe when you log in you just have all items in the game and the monsters stand in a line infront of you and you just kill them one by one, shoul save alot of time!
Whatching Maximillian dood playing MH Generations Ultimate on twitch, for you that havent played a MH before i recomend go watch it just to see how a real MH game should be.
This game is sooo fucking boring and empty, meaningless! This thread is dead, the gafguild is dead, if Capcom continues with this in the next MH games it wouldnt surprise me if MH itself soon is dead.
Rise LR Arzuros is harder then most monsters in Wilds. And when he hits you, you go flying and are set up to get bodied by another attack. And that's just a LR monster. Like even saying that sounds ridiculous but it's true.dude, you dont even need to go that back to feel what a MH game should be, after 200 hours of Wilds, i booted Rise and geez, not having a Palico that heals you every 3 seconds, not having focus mode changes all gameplay, have to position yourself after every attack , sharpness loss is significantly higher and Rise isnt even a hard game, but these changes alone already make a huge impact in gameplay.
Like i said to a friend, no GS noob ever missed a TCS after focus mode was invented, thats how broken that is.
i was trying to see how long i could play rise with the initial gear and weapon ( not the OP gear ) since i played Wilds up to Ajarakan, i carted two times to LR Azuros trying to use focus modeRise LR Arzuros is harder then most monsters in Wilds. Yeah, Wilds doesn't really have a wall. Part of it is that monsters don't really combo you and partly because most weapons now have perfect guard or an offset counter. I use to be wary of fighting new mons especially flagships but Arkveld actually feels like he's supposed to be a showcase for the news move weapons have. I felt like such a badass just perfect guarding everything with no defensive skills. But if tried that in other MH I'd be carting left and right.Rise LR Arzuros is harder then most monsters in Wilds. Overview of mapping?Ok, i did a "Souls" like control, now i can play IG comfortable, R2 normal attack and L2 heavy attack, can attack, charge and move camera all at the same time with a standard Xbox controller, feels good.
i just switched L2 = B ( Circle ) and R2 = Y (Triangle) for IG, so with R2 i attack, L2 i charge and my thumb is free to move the camera, you ll enter focus mode pressing B and aim your bug with Y, its the only setup that felt right for a normal Xbox controller.Overview of mapping?
Critical boost ? It ll only drop from ancient orb, just kill Arkveld, look for those with 2 monsters since they give more rewards. I m HR 195 and i have at leas 6 CB3 jewel.HR125 and haven't even sniffed one CB3 decoration. It's only rarity 5 as well, wtf?

If you want some help we can do some hunts together.
The lack of difficulty in Wilds is on another level.
Wilds just conditions us to be bad hunters.i was trying to see how long i could play rise with the initial gear and weapon ( not the OP gear ) since i played Wilds up to Ajarakan, i carted two times to LR Azuros trying to use focus mode![]()

Agreed. Personally, I regret buying the game because of how easy it is and how much the endgame is lacking.
And that's ok. Capcom has proven 3 times with Resident Evil, Dragon's Dogma and Monster Hunter that their direction they are moving in with Gaming isn't for me. And I'm seeing the same symptoms with Onimusha. In any case I'll be saving a lot of money.Well you know, Capcom can't please everyone.
Nope, they didnt had to do shit! The Mh games was perfect as they where, this was just a sellout to get everybody onboard. This is just a Arcade Monster Hunter, i fully expect capcom to go back to the old formula when they release the next main game many years from now.Well you know, Capcom can't please everyone. That's an impossible task. There'll always be upset gamers no matter what they try as it goes.
Really, the only way the game or any game is going to satisfy your individual needs is by customizing the game with PC mods that better aligns with what you like. Hate the color palette? Change it yourself with ReShade. HDR is disappointing or lacking? Inject it with Special K. Game too easy? There are mods for that, too. With the advent of mods, any game stops being the developer's property, and becomes yours to do with and shape however you want.
I'm up to 120 hours now into Wilds, and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon. I'm on Chapter 5-1 and I am having an absolute blast with the game, warts and all. Hopefully Capcom and patch up the PC version so more users can jump in and play at their own speed.
bow is actually easier than SnS, by a fair amount. those being my two primary with some lance mixed in is probably the real reason i've barely carted. i'm really not too good at videogames but these weapons are truly easy mode.SnS is the true braindead weapon in the game. Slide slash with iframes for days plus easy perfect guard make the weapon so easy to use against any monster in the game. I got the roll I wanted on the Artian SnS and Switch axe so now I’m gonna try the Bow out.
lol, bow dodge window is so big that if u get the timing right u ll barely take any damage.SnS is the true braindead weapon in the game. Mizutsune and Zoh Shia fights and gears, grand hub with meals and barrel bomb rolling game, arena quests, dress up for Alma, bunch of free cosmetic stuff, "hint" of Lagiacrus in upcoming update and confirmed way to display captured endemic life creatures. very good news all around.
skip to 9:25 to avoid all the other ads if you want.
yes the leaks have been near 100% considering it was data-mined material.I was worried it'd just be Mizu, but it seems like a rather meaty update. Of course you can argue it should have all been there at launch, but it is what it is. Looking forward to crafting all the new weapons and layered armor sets..
Edit: Oh shit, the leaks were real. That fucking teaser at the end!
Gathering hall might be under selling it. Looks like a whole damn town. The place is huge. Will there now be a classic gathering hall?
One of the best responses to a stupid post ive seen lately, bravoNope, they didnt had to do shit! The Mh games was perfect as they where, this was just a sellout to get everybody onboard. Thoose few that still like and play wild by then can stay there.
I agree with the rest of your post, but this? Good luck with that friend. I remember people saying the same thing after World, and after Rise, and now after Wilds as well...i fully expect capcom to go back to the old formula
oof that´s one of the "classic" features I don`t want back. Ceadeus was my least favourite hunt back in Tri and I always tried to fight Lagiacrus and Gobul on land because I never liked the underwater controls in MH.no underwater fighting

Same lolAw, was looking forward to the content update today, but just realized it isn't out til next week.
7 more days.

I really do wonder how the reception and reviews of the game would have turned out if they delayed it a month, until TU1 was ready, then TU2 is just the new TU1. I mean, waiting longer would have sucked ofc but you only get one first impression. The hub and the arena stuff definitely should`ve been in the game day 1, I really think they rushed this to meet their financial targets.
Oh well let`s see where this game stands in ~6 months.
The main criticism from a few old vets like me is still the anemic endgame content, the nonexistent difficulty and ofc the utterly broken state of the game`s tech, and while the hub may have added to bringing back some of the old MH charme that sentiment wouldn´t have changed overall.I really do wonder how the reception and reviews of the game would have turned out if they delayed it a month, until TU1 was ready, then TU2 is just the new TU1.
