If you're in the continental US, DM me your shipping information.
Even though I disagree with Polygon on the review based on what I've played of the demo, this is pretty awesome. Verge is a very classy lady.

I don't think their reviewer digs on the free roam aspect of things, which is OK. For me the events are all extras on top of a world I can just drive various cars around in for kicks for hours on end.Even though I disagree with Polygon on the review based on what I've played of the demo.
This is pretty awesome.
Edit: You know I am doing the OT and could use a copy if you got extras.... (lol)
Black_Stride is a little farther than that. As he/she noted in the thread, BS is now in Aus, where retail game prices are insane.
Other side of the world...literally.![]()
I'd have the same reaction if they just used the Forza 4 AI as is. But this is where that Polygon review makes a solid point - usually you have some ace in your sleeve in arcade racers, and its usually something like a boost. Since Horizon doesn't have that, if you start to lose from the get-go you won't have a great chance of eeking out a win. It does have rewind though, so maybe that's no excuse.I hope it isn't true about 'slingshot' A.I. That would instantly turn me off with this game.
Edit: Holy shit those Fanatec ones are expensive! Are there any decent ones that like...aren't $500?
I don't know, I mean, which one of you will get my shitty website more clicks? That's why I do things.
That would be a problem then. I don't think this copy is region free.
Oh that sucksNo traffic online? That was really the main reason why I thought I wanted the game.
Really? Wait, really?? So if we do a Cannonball Run Race, there won't be any traffic to dodge? Oh come on, really???
It might be, but there is something about the pure function over form that makes it so fuckin sexy.
That's exactly the vibe I get from the Integrale instead.

You can't beat that.

How many cars are in this game? Surprisingly hard to find the answer to that
If this list is correct: http://www.pez2k.net/horizon/
Looks like only 176, and I just noticed that 16 of which are unicorn cars, almost 10%, and then how many are pre-order/LE/VIP cars? Remind me how infuriating it is to try to get the unicorn cars in the previous two forza's and why I quit playing them.
Also have the chance of getting everything completely free!Good thinking, I need to check on this. Thanks
Edit:
Yep it's still going:

So, if I bought this for $60, I'd get $20 in Allards and a $10 coupon which I could put towards another $20 Allard card. So $70 turns into a game and $40 in Allards. Not too shabby.
Free shipping is 3-7 days though, that kind of sucks.
yeah, it does look goodThis game is just so beautiful. Replaying the demo and had to stop for a second.
So whats the story on this pic?

"We are, as a group, actively worried about replacing ourselves," he admitted to us. "I love cars, but I'm 40. I want my kids to be into Camaros and Mustangs and Supras. I want cars like the Subaru BRZ to come out and ignite a new car lust among the younger generation." - Greenawalt
Modified FR-S?
P.S Race spec Widebody Kit....im gonna say its one of the DLC cars.
I'm looking for a racing wheel but don't want to spend $200+ especially when I'm only going to be using it for one game.
Currently looking at this thing:

Anyone have it and is it really better than playing with a regular controller?
I used it for Forza 4 and I love it. Much better than using a pad. Has perfect weight and gives a great sensation of driving.
Not the graphics of the cars or the environment, just the graphics of the people standing on the side of the roadFinally got around to playing the demo. Best looking racer I've ever played. I'm shit at the driving though. There's a review that whines about the graphics? Good god.
I don't. Healty competition breeds more features for the consumer.I feel sorry for Turn 10..
There will be even bigger expectations from FM5.
I can see them injecting the 'life' from Horizon into their next game. To be honest, add in some night, weather and Spahurst and they have a winner in my eyes..

ramp up the physics, dial-in the proper(realistic) power to upgrades depending on engine, add in a bunch of audio/visual filters, do laser-scanned tracks, do proper 3d garages a-la pgr etc.1.080p, around 20 cars on track, advanced AI and finally a realistic damage model.

It's not "the same company". VOX Media is the parent company and owns both, The Verge and Polygon. The teams don't really work together as a team. You'll never watch an episode of the Vergecast, where Topolsky is like "and now we get to the gaming news. Can we get Arthur on the screen, please?".
But the S4 stradale is so ugly.
That's a good thing.
It will be even better if it's a launch title for the next Xbox.
Day. One.
