Naughty Dog and the PS4

So we all know they have more than one team, obviously working on something for the PS4. What is it? And more importantly, will it be a launch title? Will it be at E3? Options:

A) PS4 version of The Last of Us (lol)
B) Uncharted for PS4
C) Jak and Daxter(!)
D) Simultaneously developing Last of Us sequel for PS4
E) Brand new IP


Personally, I think they need to have something either at launch or very near launch. I'm hoping for an all new Jack and Daxter (finally), but I find it hard to believe they'd go two+ years (or however long it would be), without an Uncharted game, especially since Drake is so established/iconic now.

So, if it is Uncharted and not Jak, will we ever see J&D (or dare I say a new IP) from Naughty Dog this gen, or is the next cycle going to go LoU1, U4, LoU2, U5?
 
Best scenario for me would be a brand new IP or a new Jak and Daxter. I'm kinda tired of the Uncharted series and The Last of Us is already on the PS3, so..
 
I'd like a new IP, I feel there's not much new in terms of gameplay mechanics they can add to the Uncharted series.
 
They are probably working on a new IP.

For me, this E3 will be Retro Studios vs. Naughty Dog. I know for sure both will impress me.
 
I'm hoping on a new Jak. He's the only one of the PS2 trio to not get a proper HD entry. (Not counting the HD Collection, of course)
 
I wouldn't mind seeing them take another crack at a cartoonish IP, but I imagine that's largely out of their system now.
 
C'mon. It's probably Uncharted 4. I think they will alternate between Uncharted and new IP next gen, similar to what Insomniac was doing with Resistance and Ratchet.

Speaking of which I really fucking hope we see Ratchet on PS4....
 
I'm all for new IPs, but it would be glorious to have the Uncharted theme fade in during the E3 opening. Uncharted is the ultimate popcorn adventure, getting one every few years would suit me just fine.

Both Guerrilla Games and Sucker Punch are working on new IPs alongside Shadow Fall and Second Son. I believe the same thing is going on at ND (really hope we don't see a U4 for a while, if at all even though I love the series) and SSM.
 
It won't be a launch title. May, 2014 at the earliest. I'll take Uncharted 4 or a new IP. If it's Uncharted 4, I really want that to be the last one.
 
I think Sony might keep Naughty Dog's PS4 title quiet until next year. It will be an easy hype tool going into E3 2014.

And what will happen to The Last of Us? I find it hard to believe they won't have a sequel to it, but that's just me being wishful I suppose.

You have no idea... I don't consider any of the PS3 versions a proper next-gen Ratchet, graphically. Really hate that they went with the 'cartoon movie' vibe graphically.

As a kid back in the PS2 days I always dreamt of what the next gen Ratchet would look like, and how it would be photorealistic and ratchet's fur would sway with individual hairs visible and clank's tin would have a realistic metal texture with shine...

You can imagine my disappointment when it was nothing like that. (they had a tech demo before of it on PS3 and it was all photorealistic; led me to have false hope)
 
A new Crash Bandicoot game. I don't care that Activision owns the IP, they can take it back and make something awesome.

I'm thinking either Jak or Uncharted for Naughty Dog and a new character action game from Sony Santa Monica. I don't know about Jak though because they already took a stab at it before Last of Us. More Uncharted eventually is a given. A lot of people, including me, are eagerly waiting to play the next installment. Whatever both studios put out you know it is gonna kick ass and look godly

I'd be okay if Uncharted 4 was the last one for a long while. I just...they can't not make a PS4 Uncharted. It'd be too damn gorgeous.
 
I'm thinking TLOU might also release on PS4 which won't stop me from getting the PS3 version. Might even double dip on PS4.

An all-new Crash Bandicoot for PSN would be awesome. Knack actually reminded me a bit of what I would expect from a Crash game if it were to be made this gen.
 
All I know is whatever they will be doing is going to be fucking AMAZING. Imagine what ND can do with something as powerful as the PS4 considering the graphics they managed to do on PS3.
 
I think they should put Uncharted on hold until they can come back to it and do something truly different with it, not just give us the same game but with better graphics.

If they could blend the cinematic flair and huge setpieces the series is known for with a much more open, far less linear structure...oh man.

If they pulled it off that could be an amazing game right there.

Aside from that though I think they should stick to creating new IP.
 
I have a feeling it will be a new cartoony game, they got the realism out of their system. Now they can go back to animated wacky characters/world like Jak and Daxter.

It will be open world, platforming, destructible environment, wacky weapons, awesome technology for the character to use. Heck it might be a super hero game.
 
I'm not expecting to see anything from ND until the VGA's. Sony still has a lot of teams that could have big announcements (SSM/PD) and ND likes to learn the hardware.
 
sony should strike up a deal for a one-time game with crash bandicoot as the star, and make it a launch title. it's the sort of thing that's desperately missing from their library.
 
While I have been itching to see a new Jak and Daxter game on the PS3 and although I KNOW ND's next new IP will be glorious (as TLOU looks), I really hope they are working on Uncharted 4. It is Sony's blockbuster bar none and nothing surpasses it's wow factor during their E3 demos. Having both KZ and UC4 launch with the PS4 would be great for Sony (to have a AAA FPS and TPS).
 
As much as I want a new IP, I kinda want a new Uncharted as well....

I figure Last Of Us is that new IP. So Uncharted it is! Love that series. I jsut want 1 game on the PS4. Just so I can see what a next gen Uncharted looks like.
 
uncharted 4 is obviously going to happen and when it gets ps4 reveal you can expect it to permeate every molecule of your brain, for a very slight fraction of a second you just may see god
