New IP. I was disappointed to see Sucker Punch still doing inFamous.
It's a launch title. Makes sense to have a "name brand" franchise during the launch and it allows SP plenty of time to work on something else after.

the textures still hold up really nicely. I would say some of the industry best. i know inow. Rage was good. But uncharted wasn't too shabby.

He means because the textures will be so godly he'll have no mind left to be blown.
I mean, I'm scared that they will be TOO good. Uncharted 1-3 have incredibly good textures, WITH 512 MB RAM.
You have no soul man.No, my God no. Please don't ever bring that dreadful IP ever.
Congratulations for having a soul.I would kill for a new Jak and Daxter. Please let it be that.
I want them to dive back into the time travel stuff, but yeah, revisiting that time would be cool. I really did like the story/plot transition from 1 to 3, despite it getting darker.I wouldn't mind a Jak 4, if it did go back the first one's style.
What does that mean, though? Doesn't necessarily make it PS4 related.. I would love a PS4 version, though.Gemüsepizza;48051947 said:Do you think it is a coincidence that the release date of "The Last of Us" was pushed a few days behind E3 2013?
That would be a seriously, seriously awesome way to end the Uncharted series; giving closure while still retaining a loose connection via the LoU series. We still need Uncharted 4, ending with Nate and Elena having a daughter named Ellie, and the very last scene is them watching the news report about the spread of the outbreak.
Think about it though, we saw the newspaper in Uncharted 3 which hinted at The Last of Us, which is set sometime in the future, so it stands to reason that it happens in the Uncharted universe. Mysterious orphan girl in The Last of Us.. could be Nate and Elenas kid. So Uncharted 4 would be the end of the series, which would continue on with The Last of Us 2 on PS4.. so the Last of Us games would be a series sequel to the Uncharted series.
The only way I can see Uncharted 4 "working" is if they do something so damn drastic it stands out from the rest of the series. I don't want to say MGS4-style, but... maybe age Drake? That would be ballsy, though, since the appeal would be somewhat lost. Or have him age mid-game in a flash forward or something.Brand new IP. Uncharted is out of gas. It's beneath Naughty Dog to constrain themselves to cranking out sequels to a series that doesn't need them. Let them stretch their creativity into something new.
Given how easy PS4 would be to develop for it wouldn't surprise me if we had a re-release of UC1-3 and even The Last of Us on PS4. I know, it's crazy talk to some. But I'd expect them to be having the UC engine running simultaneously on PC and PS3 (with code gurus doing optimizations for SPUs on the PS3 side of the engine).
I'm expecting this to happen. I think we'll see 1080p/60Hz versions of their biggest PS3 games arrive after the first year or so.
