Before you start shitting on the comparison pic : this isn't to be viewed on a smartphone as the differences can't be perceived.
I'm on my PC's browser right now and : It's like a sharpening filter has been applied, and in this specific case, it can be noted mostly on the character's details like cape detail, hair and the cap's feather - couldn't notice a difference in the background detail tbh.

With the option applied, it makes for a (somewhat) clearer/cleaner picture, and yes, the difference is minimal but it's there.

I mean it could be running in 4K with perfect anti aliasing, as long as chromatic aberration is still there it's a nope for me, ruins the whole image quality.

It's sharper if you zoom in at the hair or cloth but maybe it's just because there is no fog covering those on the Pro screenshot.

Would it still have the frame stutter thing despite every improvement since?

I love Bloodborne as a game, but the frame pacing does make it take a while to get back into now. This is a game that's due for a proper remaster for PS5/PS5 Pro, rather than some of the much newer games that have gotten them and it was just like "wait, didn't that just come out"

This, Bloodborne isn't the best example to use due to CA being permanently active.

At this point I expect the eventual Bloodborne remake/remaster reveal to get E3 FFVIIR levels of explosive excitement. I enjoyed my time with it, apparently enough to put 250 hrs worth solo & co-op with a friend. But I didn't know it was that popular. It could definitely use a director's cut to put in all the content that was excised. Better yet, give us another entry, I want new story and gameplay in that world and would love to see what they'd bring to the table now after so many years and experience.

Hopefully Sony does something like MS has done with that FPS boost thing they completely ignored after a couple of months.

I think Bloodborne is not being affected by the boost. On the system screenshot it said only "some" games would benefit from it. Bloodborne runs in an old SDK version and probably does not have DRS implemented. My guess is that PS5 Pro will remove the DRS cap for the games that use it so they can render up to native 4k.

Still ugly CA
Still 30fps
Still bad frame pacing

What this "filter" do exactly?

It doesn't have to remove anything, games will be in upper bounds of DRS simply because GPU is better.

I kinda admire Bloodborne fans, they just never give up and always hope for a better version, no matter what lol.

DRS on PS4 games still have a cap. Don't you remember DF analysing PS4 games on PS5 when it came out? Horizon Zero Dawn could only go up to around 1800p when playing on PS5 which was the same as PS4 Pro.

But removing cap requires changing games code. They might as well add 60-120fps in the process.

I was talking about PS5 games DSR.

It's my most played game last gen. Don't care for a remake or a Sequel. Especially if the remake is being done by Bluepoint, they will butcher it somehow. A remaster with better IQ and framerate is all it needs, but I still wouldn't buy it again for anything more than like $20.

Chromatic aberration is the least of this games iq issues, it's the 1080p combined with that AA solution that was being used in games back in 2014/2015. If this new setting on ps5 pro can smooth out some of that stuff it'll be a huge win. Of course the 30 fps and frame pacing is still issue number 1
