Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Multiplayer World Premiere Coming August 11, 2014

"Pick 10" was the best class creation system of all, so I'm glad it's back even though this isn't a Treyarch game. The fact that it's Pick 13 now has me somewhat concerned about how bloated the options are going to be; more stuff does not necessarily equate to better or more balanced (it's the opposite, pretty much). Black Ops 2 has a TONS of tactical gear, attachments, etc. and 10 was enough... how much more could this one possibly have?!

Edit: Seems like the 13 options include scorestreaks in the total, so that's more reasonable.

who is he making fun of? that elpresedor guy or someone else im not aware of? :)

headset users am cry. no sound whoring? :(

This is a bit of a derail because I know you're using it as accepted lingo for "hearing someone's footsteps coming"... but "Sound whoring" is one of the dumbest goddamn phrases I've ever heard someone use online. It's the equivalent of saying someone is a "HD whore" because you're gaming on a standard def tube TV and can't see people from as far away. It's not their fault they have a semi decent sound setup instead of using TV speakers with no directionality.

Looks pretty bog standard call of duty.

I'm interested to play single player and co-op but i'll probably only play multiplayer once in a while just like ghosts.

This series is over the hill but it's not dead yet.

I was about to post the same. I remember when you either got a headset or surround sound, or you just weren't as good.

I own a headset. So guilty as charged. I don't really have an issue with it. Same as I don't have an issue with camping/turtling.

You gotta admit that the footsteps are kind of insane though in some of the CODs with certain perks equipped. I'd prefer they do a little more work with the audio. :P

Blame the quake engine. MoHAA was loss or won, by how good your sound was. Even had a bind, cinematic, that would turn off all ambient sound so you literally only heard player generated sounds. In hallway fights, since we played bolt action only, I would quick switch to grenade and back to draw my opponent around the corner. I need to reinstall that.

i always thought the phrase was more meant for people who tweak their settings to overly abuse sound. for example those who run both dead silence / amplify perks, sit in quiet spots, and crank up their headsets to near deafening levels.

The visuals look like PS3/360. Seriously.

I'm not one to care too much but this is super disappointing considering how good the single player campaign footage looks.

Not "wowed" one bit.

inb4 multiplayer always looks worse than single player.

Yeah, multiplayer looks more or the less the same as Ghosts, which was very poor. AW's SP visuals do look like a major step up from Ghosts, at least.

Yeah, the Campaign definitely looks like it has a true graphics upgrade. Maybe they have a "next-gen" campaign and the same multiplayer across generations to minimize their work.

Man and here I was saying I wouldn't be impressed by CoD again. That actually looks pretty cool.... until I play it and get absolutely creamed cos everyone is so much better

The enhanced movement looks like something that would piss me off trying to hit people though

I will go on record to say that this looks pretty damn awesome. It will probably be the very first COD game I buy.
I never thought I would ever say that, but I can't ignore the fast movement, the cool futuristic context, and the hardpoint mode which is pretty much the zone mode right out of perfect dark. I'm fucking in.

Crazy times, a COD game that actually appeals to me.

Game looks pretty awesome and it's definitely on my radar again. That being said I don't know if I'll bother day "zero" since Halo is coming out in the same month. I may just get Halo and wait until Black Friday for COD.

I'm actually really liking what I'm seeing. Hopefully every map isn't a hipfire-fest in annoying symmetrical form. Mix it up, man.

Also, it seems to be performing quite well tech wise.

I don't get where the Titanfall comparisons come from. Titanfalls movement system was more fluid, seamless and inertia influenced compared to what they showcased in these mp sessions. Boost jumping looks trite and does nothing to maneuverability.
By the looks of it this absolutely is just another CoD game. Unfortunately each iteration of this series focuses more and more on one-upping the gadgetry instead of improving the gunplay. Probably going to skip this one just like Ghosts, got burnt too many times with these games(although the singleplayer does look quite intriguing).

COD generally isn't on sale on Black Friday, is it?

It is,

at least $10 off.

Just got to watch it and it looks very...frantic. Speed reminds me more of old arena shooters than recent CoD games.

I really got a UT feel from it, whick is just awesome for me.

Yeah it's almost like we've come full circle from arena shooters to military shooters to arena military shooter :P It looks fun in a good way, especially the mobility options at your disposal.

Still not sure which platform I'll be going for yet - PC or PS4. Probably PC tbh....

Oh, cool. Did they do that before Ghosts though?
Black Ops II was the first time I remember the game going on sale soon after release; the others took forever to drop in price, even temporarily. Mostly a sign of the times, I think, and will probably be the case moving forward. Games are just cheaper these days, aside from Nintendo titles. Ghosts has clearly struggled (compared to its predecessors), though, which would explain why it got so cheap so soon after release.

TTK appears to be really fast from the video I watched. The guy's aim was terrible and his AR sounded pretty slow but he was still dropping people instantly. :\
