It’ll be really disappointing if they don’t utilize the haptics to their full potential with this game. Like if there’s a zombie horde behind me I want to feel tapping on the bottom part of my controller, and as they get closer or larger in numbers it should get more intense and further up the controller. But I’ll be mentioned here is the motorcycle.

Already disappointing that the horde mode is solo only, online co-op would be amazing. I’m expecting it to be half assed just like it was with the last of us 2 where every character model runs like Ellie.

I am glad this uses our existing save. I never got to finish it because I kept dying in this one area on my bike and I was getting sniped. I think I can get past that part now as I have more patience.

The first thing I’m gonna check is whether it’s still possible to glitch through the boundaries and reach late game areas early or not.

The vistas from the top of some mountains from out of bounds are incredible even if it’s not meant to be seen

And I wouldn't put it past them to change this scene, which is why I won't upgrade until after it's out and people can see for themselves. The game looks and runs great already, so I won't be missing much either way.

The backlash was so fucking stupid. The wedding scene was literally ripped straight out of traditional biker real world stuff and the usual suspects lost their minds about it. In general, this game was done dirty by the period it was released, being the height of the "i hate white men" era and the fact that the people running Sony felt the same way. The game was no masterpiece, but it was great fun and if it had starred a lesbian woman, we'd be playing part 2 right now. I'm happy they are remastering it, but I'm pissed at how Sony treated this IP and that we will probably never see another one.

The changed the way Ellie reacted to Joel at the end of TloU1 so they could make her and him distant at the beginning of 2. They completely retconned the Fireflies from the terrorists they actually were, to heroes who were going to save the world. Every single terrible thing they did is whitewashed in the sequel. They changed the entire doctors scene to go from a broken down, dirty makeshift surgery to being clean and looking like an actual hospital to make it seems like the cure would work. They completely changed the ending to to the game so they could paint Joel as some psychopathic killer to went on a murdering spree of doctors. In the first game you don't randomly kill all the doctors, and as soon as you walk up to Ellie to get her the doctor threatens you with a scalpel. In the second game they add two "flashbacks" of you murdering everyone. They even changed the music to make the entire scene where he takes Ellie seem menacing instead of rescuing. Hell, even the idea that Ellie agreed to be murdered for a cure is horseshit. She talks, multiple times about if "it will hurt" or talks about doing things AFTER they take her blood. This whole idea that she agreed to die and that Joel took that from her is stupidity.

Part 2 100% Retcons the ending of Part 1 and that just the facts.

If you want to blame someone for days gone 2 not being made, blame bend's management. They didn't approve the ptich. Heck days gone 2's pitch never reached Sony.

Second. Yea, that's not the retcon. The retcon is that In the first game the only dude you kill is the guy who pulls the scalpel and won't let you take Ellie without killing him. In the second game, they show multiple flashbacks of you killing everyone, blood and dead bodies everywhere, and even a scene that shows Joel looking and talking like a psychopath about what happened. The second game also whitewashes how terrible the Fireflies were in the first game, like none of it ever existed.

They literally shit on every important relationship, motivation and aspect of Joel from the first game so that they could gleefully kill him off. It's literally why they changed the story, they changed the graphics, they changed his relationships, they changed even the fucking music and removed voice lines. It was all done so that Druckmann could kill off Joel for his new muscle mommy, like he wanted to do in the first game, but got overridden by the rest of the team.

Anyway, enough derail.

You've got rose colored glasses on dude, Joel kills 3 people in chapter 11 in cutscenes alone (1 in cold blood after she had been injured and surrendered) with another 20+ fireflies between you and Ellie in the gameplay section. Even going as stealthy as possible I think you need to take out at least another 3 of them.

This is true but if they didn’t pose a threat he would have just walked in and grabbed her.

He wasn’t killing them for the fun if it, it was self-defence.

I love Days gone but its a bad remaster for Ps5. Not enough graphical enhancement like Ray tracing and IQ improvement is still not a huge leap. I will wait for sequel instead.
