I'm sure the missions will just be greyed out on the map screen unless everyone has the DLC.
The area is probably only open if you go to the moon through the specific mission.
Just hit level 5.

This is hilarious. There's delicious irony though, it probably took longer to make that video than it did to farm the materials. The game's only been out a week, people need to relax. In the past, you'd have to play these fucking loot games for MONTHS to get something equatable to an exotic item.
This took HOURS. Destiny is actually remarkably easy to get high lvl gear, all things considered.
That being said... I will gladly take that Titan chest piece off their hands!

Damn, really? I have him at level five and I've never even seen a blue engram in his shop. I've also never seen a purple engram outside of PvP, and I'm level 25! I have no purple items, but I have three golds. This game is weird.
That's an event. They happen from time to time in the game. The two factions attack each other and shit gets crazy.

2 more attempts at crucible, two more disconnects. my success rate at being able to complete a game is now at 7% with most disconnects happening at the respawn screen. why do the bungie servers hate me? is anyone else having issues to this extent? has bungie said anything?
is there any use for Vanguard marks/rep one you hit 20? Cause if I'm not mistaken, oncec you hit 20, you can choose a faction right? Changing your vanguard rep into a faction rep right?
and most legendaries in the tower require crucible marks and not vanguard, so whats the point in doing strikes? sorry. new to these mmo like games. haha

Vanguard rep / marks are for purchasing legendary Vanguard gear.
Buy a class item from another faction membe for 2500 and wearing it makes you gain marks / rep for that faction instead of Vanguard

Pretty sure you can just run behind the stone blocks and he won't follow. Just shoot him down from there.
Sadly many encounters can be cheesed like this.
Those mobs have always been there, i am pretty sure there is a quest that runs through there, and when the people on that quest run though it triggers the tougher mobs. At least I think thats what spawns them.

So I got my first Legendary engram drop from enemies while just patrolling, and it's a pulse rifle. Ugh, I hate pulse rifles. It has the upgrade to fire full-auto though. So how are Pulse Rifles at full auto? I might not find another Legendary for a while. ;_;

Bounties. You don't gain Vanguard Rep or Marks in the Crucible anyway. I'd suggest just
playing through the story and getting to level 20 before you start caring about Marks and especially Reputation (Rank) since the option to join Factions and increasing their Rank instead of Vanguard's or Crucible's doesn't open up till level 20.

I was wondering if the same guns can have different upgrade trees - I too have the miyamoto and i had an upgradable stability option - that gun is my new PVP terror until i get that "Nope" Gun or the Red Death or whatever its called.

You'll definitely find another Legendary sooner than you think. I thought that after my first and am now sitting at 4. Pulse Rifles at full auto are pretty fantastic. It's a nice quality of life bump. Imo give it a shot for a bit!
yeah i know. what im wondering is once you hit 20, the next logical move is to choose a faction right? cause i havent submitted my remaining bounties cause im a few levels away from lvl 20. might as well get faction xp

See if you are any good by taking on lv 20+ strikes, missions, etc. Totally different when taking on lv 24 missions and such. No longer can just sit back and mindlessly run through the mission. Have to plan every engagement and manage your ammo

Edit: Many people are reporting that some if not most of the times are not triggering events for them. I dont know if there is some secret mechanism behind this or if the times are just wrong or etc. I personally have only done The Divide instance over and over without fail so if you're just looking for your daily, do that one (plus it's easy).

Depends on if you like that factions armor and such. But yeah that is the logical move. See what set of Armor and weps you want most and join that faction

I saw it happen in mars. Vex vs cabal. I was farming them for some patrol mission and all of a sudden all hell breaks lose. Tough versions of enemies in both sides started to spawn. Got my ass kicked pretty hard.
That's not a public event. If you keep around long enough you may see it happening.
joining the dead orbit cause i only use auto rifles. haha. any way, whats the point in farming vanguard marks? seeing as how dead orbit requires you to have crucible marks and not vanguard. haha
