No need to spend time to take my previous messages. I have a PS5 and a Series X, and as i said, I play most of the time with Series X.
Still, the PS5 PRO, for its price, is a scam and a shitty hardware given its performances with so many games.
Just relax, the truth speaks for itself. Probably tools are coming
Shitty performance? There are games were the PS5Pro can provide similar experience as my $2500 PC for fraction of the price.
For example, Callisto Protocol. I can play this game in 4K TAA native with max settings (63fps built-in benchmark), but performance can drop to around 42-50fps at certain levels. This is still perfectly playable on my VRR monitor, but in order to play this game at locked 60fps I actually need to use 4K FSR quality (1440p internally). At this point, the PS5Pro is very close (dynamic 1296p-1440p reconstructed to 4K) and it might even offer a better experience if there's no traversal stuttering like on PC.
I have also compared other games too. The Last Of Us Remake runs at 60fps TAA native on my PC and the PS5Pro offers the same image quality thanks to PSSR. In Resident Evil 4 Remake on the PS5 looks comparable to native 4K TAA on my PC too.
I spend three times more money on my PC compared to the PS5Pro, but I cannot say that my PC offers much better experience in these particular games. Only games with PT / heavy RT can show a bigger differences on my PC (games like Cyberpunk, Alan Wake 2, black myth, or even the witcher 3 look and run amazing on my PC).
I can't say anything bad about the PS5Pro, apart from PSSR implementation in some games like Avatar or Jedi Survivor. These games have noise and flickering problems because of bad PSSR implementation, but that's a software problem, not a hardware one. I remember what DLSS looked like in the first few games and the results were not good too. I suspect that some games might use older versions or PSSR, because there are also games that has stunning image quality in PSSR mode.
If I couldn't afford a high-end PC, I'd definitely be interested in the PS5Pro, as the image quality in 60fps modes is often terrible on both the XSX and the base PS5. If you have base PS5 games like FF7 rebirth or Stellar Blade will look like crap in 60fps modes. Of course you can run these game in quality mode at 4K on the base PS5, but that's 30fps. The PS5Pro offers better image quality than the quality mode on the base PS5 and you can play at around 80fps. 30fps vs 80fps is massive difference dude. I'm sure Sony will fix PSSR issues soon, because so many people noticed problems with PSSR implementation in certain games, and then every single game will look way better on the PS5Pro.
