Eh Idc about paid early access. It's optional for those that want it.

Who cares how others spend their money?
This guy agrees, my good little consumer.

The visual fidelity of the Series X version already looks good enough in 60fps mode, except for the pop-in that spoils the party. I’d rather they improved that for the Pro version.

I wonder if the loading times will be improved too?

Also, I always felt the game would be more fun to play with the dualsense controller.

It’ll be interesting to see how the port holds up.

That's for the premium edition.

Forza Horizon 5 - Full Game
Forza Horizon 5 Car Pass
Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels
Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure
Forza Horizon 5 Welcome Pack

They should just have one 60/70 dollar version for a late port.

I'm not really into the console wars (which are basically over now), but I swear on my momma, it gets hilarious sometimes. I used to cheer for Xbox as the underdog, because, you know, competition is healthy, but looking back at some of my old Reddit posts? Man, I can’t help but laugh at myself and the creativity of the people that dig them up. I’ll delete that account if they stop being funny… but I can't foresee those days. :messenger_beaming:

While I don't agree with you, I totally understand where you are coming from. I am the problem and I admit it.
You know, on second thought, I think Senua Senua Is right.

It's shitty business-practice and should be stopped at all cost.

We should actively advocate for a total boycott on Forza.
Gotta make our principals count.

LOL at the people complaining about the early access and price.
It's not only a new release for PS only players. but a new arcade racing game for which PS players are starving.
This will sell gangbusters. Sony would be stupid not to take advantage of this.

I just find it very strange how early access has been so normalized across Microsoft gaming titles, to the point where even half-decade-old games are getting early access. Fans also don't seem to mind this bs either which is even weirder.

The amount of content in that premium edition was easily enough to push it without FOMO bullshit imo.

Probably because it’s normalized across a lot of AAA games?

It’s in EA games. It’s in COD. It was in Hogwarts legacy. Mortal Kombat 1.

Sure, MS pushes it the most as far as console makers are concerned, but it’s ubiquitous at this point.

Older games re-releasing on new platforms, is not "normalized" for "early access FOMO."

All those others are day and date on all platforms.

I thought it might do well but they should have come in at much lower pricing imo, like half of what it is and get the excitement up for Forza 6 and launch that day one on PS

They don’t need to discount it to drum up excitement for this or FH6. It’ll sell millions as is.

And this is also the current price on Steam.

The conversation was about the practice of ‘early access’ in general, even on the platforms it launches on day one.
Specifically in the context of this title, The ‘early access’ premium edition also contains the DLCs. That’s the draw for many people.

Personally, I never bother with any of that early access stuff.

Just would have liked to see more people buy it if it would have been a better price

Just my personal opinion but it will be the best arcade racer on the PS5 and you’re likely right it will still do very well.

Between PC and Xbox, 43+ million people played FH5. Now we add 65 million PS5's to the bunch, I can see that number steadily climb. Though I think most of us are dual console owners here and have already played it, so I doubt we will have much of a contribution to it here.

Seems like everyone except Nintendo does it. At least this should get rid (it won’t) the nonsense about MS doing early access because of GamePass. Last I checked, FH5 on PS5 isn’t on GamePass.

Locking content behind a preorder sucks. Launch content exclusive to a platform sucks. I’ve never cared much about early access nonsense. A vast majority of the time l, I’ll just wait.

the dream of playing this game at 60fps with fidelity graphics on ps5 pro is here i am all for it. premium edition pre-ordered and hope this sells a ton of copies!

Price seems crazy for a late port. Even Ubisoft on Steam gives like a 75% discount when they come crawling back and still get ignored. Think this game goes to about £25 during Steam sales. Another example of console gaming not being as cheap as you might think due to the control companies have.

Would've thought they would have had some savings on it at launch even, but again, Microsoft has been over pricing games, even on PC, to try and force your hand into buying Gamepass. The problem is, no Gamepass on PlayStation, so they are just being brutally greedy imo.
