Looks like 4XMSAA and some additional PPAA (FXAA?) on top.
Forza 4 used 4XMSAA in hot lap mode and wasn't as clean.
I'm really excited that the reviews are turning out well! I'll have to get over my apprehensions concerning the demo, but I'll probably pick this up.

you're right, at least Burnout had some crash physics. This is GT4 level stuff.
eurogamer described the online as a 'timid attempt'.

This is really good. This is still the reason for me to own my 360.
Will be there Day one, loved the demo, our community is great. All good. After watching some reviews it does seems indeed that there's some lack in Cars (maybe due the "get your Season Pass" thing?") I do hope they do like Forza 4 and give at least one free car each Month (I had VIP Membership but did not get all the late DLC).
With that being said I hope I don't feel the lack of Cars too obvious while playing.
And other thing, isn't a little soon for all those reviews? It's still more than a week for the release, some Reviews only arrive on the release day of the game. Can someone explain the differences before late/early reviews?

Loved the demo but those scores came as a shock. Has any review mentioned the length of the campaign?

i really hope it doesnt bomb. but it feels like 5 years ago: fantastic racing game with great review scores gets released a few weeks before halo, with next to no marketing.
In the giantbomb quick look they said the game has around 70 events. Make of that what you will.
That does sound good. But, being a bit crap at racing games, I'm gonna avoid any joint challenges as I'll get trolled hard for letting everyone down...

This game looks terrific, I'm really enjoying the demo. The graphics are stunning, and I love the environment (something about forests and mountains awakens something in me, it's a big part of why I loved Alan Wake so much).

Oh god the page layout of that Polygon review is atrocious.
The host of a free roam session is able to set a group "checkpoint" that you can all race to if you wanted to. You won't get any checkpoints enroute that you have to pass through or a defined set end point, but with a bit of creativity you can work around that quite easily. For example you'd have to have a start countdown via voicecoms, and you'll have to organise lining up at the start yourselves. As I said though, not that hard to work around with a tiny bit of organisation.
Having no set checkpoints to have to pass through actually works well, as you can take your own route to the finish "checkpoint" cannonball run style
I'm looking forwards to doing a race from one end of the map to the other, trying to find the fastest route through the game world!
I hope the above makes sense, fingers crossed someone will create a few videos of the free roam portion of the game, and show off some of the possibilities available to players with a bit of organisation, as well as the co-op challenges. It's easier to show rather than tell

Wow!!! Thought they'd be good, but I didn't think they'd be this good.
In fact all Codemasters racing games on 360 are 720p with 4xMSAA and have great IQ but Horizon looks even more jaggy free, as Reiko already said this must be 2xMSAA or 4xMSAA with FXAA on top of that like American Nightmare which also looks really clean...of course Horizon actually runs at 720p which also really helps the IQ.
Enough with the graphics discussion though, I loved the demo and I'm definitely getting the full game..congrats to Playground.

The biggest edge Horizon has on Most Wanted is car selection, there's supposed to be around 200 cars in vanilla Horizon.
You'd be excused for thinking so, though, with how awful that website is.

Either way the game just doesnt look appealing to me. A big dance/race event blabla..sounds so generic.
Not that Most Wanted isn't generic as hell but at least it looks cool.

I'd take Honda Civics and Golf GTI's over 10 supercars and 20 sports cars in Most Wanted.
Not to mention, can you paint and upgrade/tune the cars in MW? Because I love that stuff.
Putting some sick ass Enkei's and racing slicks on my 2008 Clio sport, dropping the shocks and applying some rad paintjobs just to race with it against my friends? That's amazing.

Is there an available list of cars in the game anywhere online? Does it have Porsches/Ferraris/Lambourghinis/etc.?
The site isn't even up yet and its still horing for hits.
