I'm more of a shuffle track person myself. The best thing about Microsoft Groove is the option to just play all of your music randomly. I'm too lazy to make a playlist :/.

I think that's what makes it harder for me to appreciate an entire album. When I can just carve it up and take the individual pieces and put them elsewhere. I'm so busy looking for the stand outs that I don't give the rest enough appreciation sometimes because they only really work in the framework of the entire album.
One of my favorite albums of all time is scarface's untouchable. I still listen to it pretty consistently. Buy when I ripped it to my computer and it's songs would come on during random, I always ended up hitting skip. Outside the album as a whole, the songs on there just didn't work as well.

Albums are a different story. I mean in general if I'm on a screw it type of mood. I haven't made a mix of tracks since my limewire/mini disc days. I can't see myself hitting shuffle on GKMC, but if it's a bunch of TDE tracks...I'm all for the shuffle button.

This conversation just makes me miss blackace and his weekly mixes.

RIP

Out of nowhere man..

It seems like it but you could hear the deterioration in his later work. He still had hilarious lines but his flow got considerably slower, constant pauses for effective timing to cover up that his breath control isn't what it used to be, and he somehow lost some teeth which made his words come out more mush mouth.

Still, I think I remember hearing he was trying to do better for his new album...then this happens.

FUCK. I saw that he was the number one trending topic, but just expected more July fuckery. Maaaan. FUCK.

Sean brought the realness back when it was desperately needed in the game.

Rest in Power.

Sean is one of those rappers I always enjoyed but never made time to really listen to beyond if he came up on my mp3 player. I think it might be time to go back and load up Mic Tyson again.

Listening to some Sean right now, delivery hits like a ton of bricks, crazy enunciation.

fuck yeah, got Mic Tyson on repeat right now. Great album. Can't believe it will be his last.

I hope P gets a cute avatar too.

damn

Sean Price was hilarious. One of the few rappers with an actual sense of humor. His shorts on YouTube are funny as well. RIP P!

Them shits are hilarious.

What the FUCK

Wow, RIP. Dude was scheduled for a concert tonight in NY.

One of my favorite street rappers, and one of the best at detailing exactly how he'd fuck you up without a weapon lol.

He had a daughter a few years ago too. Damn.

jesus, outta nowhere...and that makes it even worse. RIP to a great.

When I was in high school I really loved Sean Price man, he was one of my favorite rappers period. Heltah Skeltah and Jesus Price Supastar. He had that grimey talk and punchlines of a Styles P but consistently funnier and more self aware. Last of a dying breed man, a rapper who aint afraid to say what he wants, for better or worse.

rest in peace

this exact track was the one i played forever ago in one of our DJ room meets as a throwback, and esh was the dude that put me onto the whole group/P in particular. i wanna say you put me onto Mic Tyson (was new at the time?) and i worked back from there...was one of my great finds from this thread, i'd heard tracks from dude/that camp but didn't know shit.

shit's terrible, fucking my day right up. again, RIP to him & condolences to his.

I know duck down as a label has to be hurt real bad right now. Not only was he a founding act on the label through Heltah Skeltah and a close friend to all of them, Price was their version of Ghostface and carried the label a few times over the years.
