Yup, Ive been playing front to back since it dropped, gave it the car test, the home audio test, the headphones test, passed em all with flying colors. It's the best album I've heard in a long time. Seems to me a fair portion of the hate was determined long before the album ever dropped. Some people were never ever going to give it a fair shake.

I always thought that was dre's real talent. People talk about the ghost writing and ghost producing but it's irrelevant to me. What makes dre special is how he can get a bunch of people to sound their very best. A producer is going to make his best beat with dre there giving him guidance and a rapper is going to put down his best verse. He's a conductor.

One of my most favorite rappers, every time I see him featured on a track I know that track gonna be one of best on an album.
I think this schtick has run its course.

When I was in high school I really loved Sean Price man, he was one of my favorite rappers period. Heltah Skeltah and Jesus Price Supastar. He had that grimey talk and punchlines of a Styles P but consistently funnier and more self aware. Last of a dying breed man, a rapper who aint afraid to say what he wants, for better or worse.

Listened to a lot, but haven't enjoyed a lot. Best album before Compton for me was the audio push album.
Compton hits all the right notes for me. Dudes like future seem to be driving a lot of the sounds in hip hop and I'm happy for the dude to see success but it's not my taste at all and every time fetty wap opens his mouth I feel like a kitten dies. There have been some bright spots but I haven't enjoyed a whole lot this year.
Liking this. Yeah I was never familiar with him. Keep posting his bests.
You might take this as a racial thing, but I legit thought the Lil Dicky sounded like something Sidd might enjoy, he just has that type of humor I know like sometimes like a milder Jarren Benton.
I'll check it out, I trust your recommendations.

Forreal man...I don't know why this shit is hitting me hard. I don't think dude every drop anything on a garbage level. He was always on point with the spittage. My Saturday already starting off shitty.
I've been doing more playlists listening recently anyways, I end up just tossing the good parts of albums onto a list and never listening to the rest of the album. I think that's part of why Compton stands out for me, I haven't had the desire to listen to a whole album by itself in a long time. Even shit I enjoyed like Audio push, I still just took all the stand out tracks and put em with other songs and hit random.
