Strange generation so far. Both companies upgraded early during a pandemic when they should have waited for better more powerful components at better prices.

And they've both got barely any exclusives as proof

Are you completely fine with games taking 8 years to develop?

In 7th gen, Naughty Dog release 3 Uncharted games and TLOU
But in 8th gen, they just release Uncharted 4 and TLOU 2

Playstation got 3 God of War games between 2005 and 2010 but only 2 God of War games between 2018 and 2022

Longer time development means fewer games
