I literally have no idea what they can do with hardware that will get someone to drop their PS5/Pro or PC at this point.

It would need to be a leap frog system over the PS5/Pro, but still cheaper than a comparable PC with the same performance.

$700 console with power in the range of a 5080 would likely interest many gamers, but doubt it would win a generation.

Not true. He successfully resurrected Microsoft's PC gaming IPs. Flight Simulator and Age of Empires are very successful in their niches. And while you might argue that both are irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, to me, they are actually not. Sony have let Wipeout and Motorstorm die, and that was a big contributor to me leaving Playstation behind. Bring the games, and I'll even make a fucking account on your dogshit online service, if the games are good.
