No, they couldn't do much. But they would invoke article 5, NATO would effectively be dead (the US would be breaching the treaty as a whole), and WW3 would be much closer to reality.

The Danish state minister, Mette Frederiksen, has stated its up to Greenland to make that decision. Public opinion polls seem to lean into that the Danish populace wants Greenland to remain part of the commonwealth and that its more beneficial to them (Greenland). Trump Jr. openly saying that 'there seems to be a lot of racism for Greenland in Denmark' is so surreal. Regardless of what you hear/read the relationship with Greenland has been amicable.
I honestly don't know what to think anymore.
This entire world situation seems like an absurd fever dream. These next few years are going to be some strange and hard times we'll have to endure. And its all because of one raving megalomaniac over in Russia and his unresolved insanity.
