If the USA wanted control over Greenland, they would not announce it in public television.

Instead they would start some CIA covert ops shit to make Greenland independent and then install a puppet government that has no official ties to Washington.

Taiwan has been a de-facto independent state since the end of the Chinese Civil War. It has never been under control of the CCP, because it was actually a Japanese held territory during WWII. This is why Xi Jinping will never be able to get Taiwan to voluntarily submit to China, and an actual invasion would be catastrophically bloody and tempt the start of WWIII. So all he can do is make threatening noises because anything more would be inviting disaster

no, it's really not up to the people, when is it ever? I know that's what they tell us in school, but let's be adults here.

I keep saying this, but the USA already occupies Greenland. Taking it over would be like a car ride to city hall. Denmark could not do a single thing to stop it, we all know this. Again, let's be adults here. But that won't be necessary.

Every President from Nixon onward contributed to the disillusionment and devil-may-care attitude we have today. It's all been a steady march torwards unrepentant bitterness. Something is fundamentally broken and I don't see anyone fixing it anytime soon.

This happened long before Nixon. Try centralized banking, the Fed reserve, institutionalized schooling, etc..

As for human nature, it’s all about resources since the dawn of civilization.

There's so much romanticism around Kennedy I don't know whether he was truly the last great leader we had or not. Maybe it was already rotting out before then, but it goes untaught and underestimated. But I feel something really does has to change in the Western world or we go back to the dark ages.
