Except you're ignoring the US charts?

Queen's last single peaked at 17, Lady Gaga's peaked at 23. So I presume they are both "on the wane"?

Queen is self-evidently on the wane, no one would dispute that. They were on the wane in terms of new albums well before Mercury passed away. But like, for example, the Rolling Stones, their ability to sell out stadiums hasn't and isn't going to waver because they've transitioned out of being a new album kind of band and into a touring band.

Lady Gaga is a US-centric act, and I don't think it's feasible to expect Queen to maintain their peak for 38 years.

Katy Perry has 5 consecutive #1's in the US, so I don't think I need to elaborate on the state of the industry atm :P

Am I the only one that doesn't really care for Queen? The only songs I really like from them are The Show Must Go On and Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy.

My point is not that Queen has anything to be ashamed of. It's more that the "you're only as good as your last single did in the UK" mentality is kind of dumb, especially considering the UK performance of Queen's last single (not much beter than Gaga's).

Queen has been around for almost 40 years, and their lead singer died in the 80's.

He died in 1991 :p

She's too big for Queen, but she could do glam rock pretty well if she wanted. But no.

Dumbest thing I've heard in years. YEARS. I like Gaga and all, but in no way does she deserve to be in Queen.

Also, I don't think this suggestion is necessarily any dumber than Roger Taylor wanting to put together a Queen tribute band that would tour the world so he wouldn't have to do it himself. Fuck off with that shitty Gene Simmons mentality. Both Taylor and May seem to have gone senile the last few years. Based Freddie, please return to us and save rock music again!

This guy has a knack for edgy opinions, it's his thing.

I see someone's pretty mad.

When it comes to Muse I just find them infinitely boring, their music just leaves me with a feeling that can only be described as meh. I would hardly call not being a fan of Muse being an edgy opinion, so any opinion that isn't yours is "edgy"?

Wow, the same guy has a "Somebody to Love" audition tape for the Queen Extravaganza

He even looks sorta like Freddie, must be a lost love child....

Oh man, that guy might be a more apt Freddie replacement than even Arnel Pineda was for Steve Perry.
Steve Perry is dead? When did this happen?

Call me out of the loop. I like Journey but I don't exactly follow them religiously.

Perry isn't dead but he quit Journey to go solo back in '98.
