I always felt like in Souls type of games... attacks that deliver killing blows should have special animations / finishers. Contextual. If I'm two handing a heavy attack and smack a zombie or whatever, something that would clearly be a one shot... wouldn't mind seeing that thing cleaved in half (or whatever). It doesn't have to be some long animation that takes away control...
Just make sure it is super polished before release. That is the downfall for non-From Soulslikes. They sometimes are amazing but can be rushed out and finished later meaning many will never try them due to the initial metacritic. Lies of P I'm looking at you.
Isn't the sequel Epic exclusive after they helped fund it? What more horror can they throw at us when they don't care if you bought the first one on Steam and will try n force you to use Epic?
I finally came around to the reboot. Enough to consider a sequel. I don't think they need to go far beyond where it is in that. Let it be visible often and stop just short of making it a gimmick.
