Question on console.. one of the things most annoyed me with the first game on PS4 is that running/sprinting with horse was tide to holding circle button. Is KCD 2 have the option to run with modern hold L3 most games nowadays use? Really hopes so, thanks mates and enjoy the glorious game!

Most optimized game I've played in quite a while. 100ish fps, 4k DLSS performance, mixture of ultra and experimental. (9800X3d, RTX 5080)

Absolutely no stuttering.

God-damn, I am playing on experimental settings at 4k native and the game looks absolutely stunning. It feels so much better than the first one, animations and character control is so much better

I haven't seen this yet and am at my work desk so can't open it. Did they beat it, get to the later area? Some hefty FPS drops there even on powerful systems and especially when you get a huge inventory and some other stuff changes.
If you didnt watch it no worries. I will check it out later regardless.

Hey sry for late reply. Yeah he doesnt really mention it, he did give a review of the game though so I would assume he played a bunch but probably not till the end. From the video he kept targeting the same area in 10 different settings and then chose the most optimal one. Ofcourse there are settings where there is barely 10fps but thats ULTRA at 60fps etc. Im sure we gonna get by tomorrow even more people testing it out on YT.

My impression was that players with controller had more trouble with KCD1. I played the first one with K/M and had no trouble and I am goin to play this one with K/M.

It uses version 3.7.10.0 of the DLL file so I think that's not DLSS 4.
Not positive that's how it works though so maybe someone will correct or confirm.

Game's so much better optimized than the fiest one, prologue is running at 60fps 4K DLSS Quality with all set to Very High on my 4070 Super.

Tried experimental but "only" manage to get 55-60fps.

Edit: cutscenes locked at 30fps again? Fuck that!

Been alternating between German, English and Czech dub for my first two hours of play on KCD2. I wanted to play in Czech but the acting seems weaker than the other two (notably for Henry unfortunately). The English dub feels a little too "Hollywood" and does not really match the setting. In the end the German one seems to be really involved and well acted, with the same actors as the first game, so will play in this one for my first playthrough I think.

Only pre-rendered ones. Most are realtime.

I played for about 90 minutes so far. Zero issues, looks and plays great, no framedrops under 60. Very happy so far.

Seriously though, this is not the game if you expect to run into bandit camp or dungeon or cave with wizards every 50 meters. The open world is supposed to be immersive, and the main gameplay comes from quests and human interactions.

Well not wizards but yes bandid camps, threasures to loot on hidden places...wild animals that can kill you...etc...

Yeah, I can confirm the "Hollywood" feel of the English dub. Which is why I tried out the German one and stuck with it. It doesn't happen that often that the German dub in games is that good.
