List of PS5 Pro enhanced games

I wouldn’t call it a narrative. It’s an expensive machine and a lot of high-profile games are looking worse for wear on it. We can’t just pretend that they don’t exist.

Games that look and run better won’t garner as much attention because that’s what the Pro is supposed to do. You won’t shower someone with praise for doing their job. You will reprimand them if they don’t do their job, however.
But it's not a lot. It's 4-5 max from incompetent devs.

It isn’t. The Pro has been out for just 3 weeks and the list of enhanced games, let alone AAA games is short.

If there every game had a Pro patch, these would be nothing more than a footnote.
No you wrote that GT7 had ”a lot” of visual noise and that description I believe is a bit unfair. Sure it got some but not a lot. AW2 has a lot of noise.

The bad games some people are focused on are always the same.
SH2, Alan Wake 2 (and here there are both pros and cons), Star Wars Jedi Survivor performance mode and the two Ubisoft games using the same engine.
There are dozens of updates and many unpatched games that are better thanks to game boost.

It's unfortunate that these developers fucked up in not realizing their work was not good and they removed options, obviously ideally it shouldn't have happened but it's just a minority of titles that are used as weapons by certain people to downplay the whole thing.

Been playing Lords of the Fallen on the PRO on Quality mode, it is supposse to perform at 30 FPS 4k native according to the PRO update. , but the Game feels smoother , could it be That I am playing on a 120 hz VRR and this helps the Game run on more FPS?

Classic. Ignore all the big improvements and highlight the shit ones. Claim failure. Like clockwork.
I never claimed failure and I don’t ignore big improvements. The Pro is SUPPOSED to provide big improvements. That’s its damn job. The bad ones shouldn’t happen AT ALL and we’ve had a few in the span of a couple weeks. It’s been out for 21 days and only has Pro patch for 30-40 AAA games. That 5-7 are having problems is way too many already. The number should be 0.

Bad things always get far more publicity than good ones because things aren’t supposed to go badly. Look at PC, you’d swear every game is broken on there despite 99% being fine. It’s the 1% that get talked about.

AW2 looks great in performance mode, sadly the performance itself is pretty bad. Thats my only issue with the Pro version

The system has been out for 3 weeks and how many AAA games got a Pro patch? 30? This shouldn’t happen at all, so within this context, yes, it’s a lot. There should be 0 games that looks worse on a Pro.
I'm happy with mine because I got it mainly for FF VII Rebirth and GT7, but I can see why others are not.
Launch is a mess so far. Maybe one day we will read stories about how the new SDK and/or PSSR was not yet ready and they had to release it.
Of the "Three Pillars", only the bigger GPU has been showing consistently good results: Pro Boost works nice but still depends on the game.
I still believe it will quickly improve, though. The hardware doesn't seem to be the problem.

4-5 games that are graphics killers and looks poor in performance mode on ps5, pro should makes difference here not in games that already looks good on base ps5 like lou, ratchet or gr7. I was waiting with playing alan wake 2 and Jedi Suvivor for pro. Good that I didnt make same mistake with silent hill 2

I only play in quality.
I noticed some visual features besides rt that i didnt notice on base console.
I am happy with they way it looks in quality

Never tried quality on the Pro. I played through the game in quality on base PS5, i bought the Pro to forget about 30 fps modes :D
I am digging the rt and extra effects.

Its a slow paced game and the 30 is very fluid.

30 in jedi is way worse it stutters a lot so there i want to play at 60 but looks like shit.

I think 40 vrr should be standard on the pro. Its a good compromise

The developers are supposed to make the game look better. Expecting 0 issues isn't realistic, especially when these games are poor on base consoles.

‘30fps’ and ‘fluid’ don’t ever belong in the same sentence (unless it’s to say 30fps is not fluid)

I didn’t say we should expect 0 issue. I said 0 games should look worse on a Pro and there’s nothing unrealistic about that.

We all knew the launch and PSSR wouldn’t be perfect. What is? However, I don’t think any of us expected for any game to have worse IQ on the Pro.

So, Lords of the Fallen for 30, yes or no ? I've heard the Pro patch is great, really clean image quality even on 60fps
I have player most of Souls type games and this is the most accurate representation of Them.

Good lore , world connection is great, tons of setups.

Parring and rolling is great. If You go for the platinum is very chanllengy specially second and third round.

The only stuff that takes time to get used is the lamp...si for 30 bucks is worth.

Real classy to make things a personal attack on a user. The laughing emojis are a direct response to how non-sensical some of your points have been. I have nothing more to say to you.
None of them have been nonsensical whatsoever. You take it personally because you love the Pro and it gets you butthurt that someone criticizes it.

There are like 80 games with Pro updates a few of them aren't great. I've tried out at least 20 games on it and pretty much all of them are pretty good upgrades over base PS5. Some more than others.
There are NOT 80 games with a pro update, to be precise there are 67 if you include games that were released today (29th nov) and while you may have tried 20 I don’t remember similar complaints when ps4 pro came out? Out of the 22 games I own Hogwarts, Alan Wake 2 & Silent Hill 2 are very problematic.
Again, I don’t remember people mass complaining that ps4 pro checkerboarding made their games look worse when that came out, but then again I didn’t buy a ps4 pro so I might be wrong

Yep, as far as I'm concerned, armchair quarterback drive by posting by those who rely on internet video are easy to ignore.

I've never been a glass half empty person so when I own something, I seek to make it work rather than going after negatives.

I wouldn't enjoy anything if I had opinions of things I owned that were negative all the time.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

Fortnite opting not to use PSSR, instead staying on TSR.

Here it makes more sense cause TSR is Epic's in-house thing and they would rather stay on it, but it also helps avoid the PSSR growing pains.

Your expectations are too high (as you clearly have focused on the 4-5 bad game updates instead of the dozens of good ones) - if you expect a technically perfect visual image, go to PC.

My expectations of having no game to look worse on a better system are too high? Is this a joke?

To be fair. I genuinely cant recall the last time you said anything positive about the Pro whatsoever. Apologies if I missed your positivity, happy for you to prove or show me I'm wrong. When I scan back a few pages, with the positively received GT7 patch, you were focused on some RT issues. Maybe that's why people are pushing back? Just a thought.

PS5 Pro is one of those cases, you need to go back to PS5 to fully appreciate it because you’ll be adjusted to Pro quickly and feels “normal”.
Yes this is true. I returned my Pro and was immediately struck by how much crapper everything looked on base PS5.

But you also forget that quite quickly as well.

You’ve been blaming Sony for the 4-5 games with subpar patches instead of the actual game developers themselves while simultaneously ignoring the vast majority of games WITH improvements. The games by and large do look better - as XXL posted earlier I believe, I’ll paraphrase them when saying that I’m playing a game as it’s in motion and not standing around looking for things to criticize.

I agree that AW2 and SH2 are bad upgrades (but I havent tried them out for myself), but Hogwarts looks great to me.

I'm more impressed overall with the PS5 Pro than the PS4 Pro so far, the games that are good upgrades are way more impressive to me.

I think if you buy a really expensive hardware you should expect it at least to produce better results as the less expensive hardware. That's not outlandish. It's still early and differences might be tiny but I think its weird to even have a conversation where games look worse.
