PRO was supposed to have no modes and combine best of both worlds.
Meanwhile ratchet got like 5 settings and individual settings... and it makes no sense to have EVEN MORE granular settings almost like a pc game... without fps counter and live preview of what is changing.
PRO was supposed to make me not have to look DF up and just play in best way possible on pro
The exact quote actually states...

Removing that decision (or at least narrowing that divide) is one of the key targets for PlayStation 5 Pro.

He never said there would be no modes.

Exposing the sinister cartel of retailers who allow companies to pay for advertising space.

Fortnite opting not to use PSSR, instead staying on TSR.

Here it makes more sense cause TSR is Epic's in-house thing and they would rather stay on it, but it also helps avoid the PSSR growing pains.

I think the most important reason to stick with TSR for both the PS5 and Pro version is that it's much less work than supporting two different upscalers at the same time. PSSR (when it works) is cool, but I don't think devs were delighted when they heard PSSR was going to be a PS5 Pro only feature. It just ads complexity and leads to more work.

Any difference with Lies of P on the PS5 pro?

Trying to decide between Lies of P, or Dragon’s Dogma 2 after I finish Metaphor.
Definitely noticeable resolution upgrade for Lies of P. The 60 fps mode on Ps5 was a bit soft and lacking detail but Pro it seems like you're playing Quality mode but at 60 fps now.

Demon’s Souls looks so damn crisp and clear, although I admit I miss the initial color palette. I think I can change it though.

Also, hard to believe we ever found that game difficult. It’s so simple and basic compared to Dark Souls III, let alone SotEE.

It's punishing in different ways. No bonfires is pretty brutal at points.
