There's a small chance it could happen next week since DDP SDOJ is coming out for the 360, while the Wii U gets ???I have this morbid desire to see the Wii U drop below the 360

Revelations?
Sounds like the PS3 will be getting a boost!
The 360 was selling around 3-5K for a while though actually, iirc. There is a limit to where Wii U can go. It will not hit 360 numbers like 1-2k. That's impossible for any system besides a MS system while its alive. It will probably balance at 5k until the bigger games. A system selling 5k a week seems pretty much dead though.
Why are people still making such foolish comments when it's already been pointed out why the Vita, Wii U and 3DS are the major topics of conversation?Reading these "Oh shit Wii U man" posts and seeing the numbers of all the other platforms shows the true nature of some people here :lol
Garbage week all around - something big coming this week?
It'd be more incredible if the Wii U version outsold the PS3 version. It probably won't happen, but wouldn't it be incredible if the 360 version of Revelations outsold the Wii U version?

Agreed. If there's one thing that's been consistent with the Vita it's that when the platform gets decent game releases hardware sales are positively impacted. More consistent releases at the current price point would raise the baseline for weekly hardware sales, no question.
Finally people start getting it.

PlayStation 3 continues to deliver stable hardware and software sales, and Sony will continue to reinforce the business position as a stable source of profit. In particular, the Company will seek to grow sales of content and services through PlayStation Store and contribute to profit. For PlayStation Vita (PS Vita), the Company will aim to secure further sales and profit through various hardware sales initiatives and the introduction of compelling software titles. The next generation platform, PlayStation 4 (PS4) will launch this year-end holiday season. PS4 will deliver a quality gaming experience only possible through a dedicated gaming system, and will also enable smartphone and tablet users to share in the enjoyment of PS4, even without owning one themselves. Furthermore, customers who own both PS4 and PS Vita will be able to experience new services and game entertainment.
Don't think anyone posted yet, but from Sony's corporate strategy presentation:
On the face of it, this seems at odds with Sony only projecting 3-3.5 million Vita units shipped this FY, but saying this and actually putting SCE's weight behind it are two different things. Well, we'll probably have at least a somewhat better idea of what this means in less than three weeks.
I'd be kind of surprised if they notably focused on Vita at E3, at least in the presentation itself, given they have the PS4 and have to at least show some things (like GT6) on PS3.
That said there isn't really a better time anytime soon, so I guess they could just send out information outside of the conference or talk about the Vita via a montage.
Saw the One Piece: Unlimited World Red 3DS scan - it looks ambitious for an OP 3DS title and it seems to have a MH-type multiplayer mode ? Could be a great combination for Bamco if it works....

if am not mistaken looks like One Piece Romance Dawn well hit the 3DS also.
Query: If Sony does end up restricting used trade in some way - what impact would it have on the Japanese market for them?

What better way to show they are serious about platform than commiting part of main presentation to it ?
Maybe not show long trailers but at least show how ps4 streams to Vita and then follow with a bunch of games for PSV.
Why so defensive? When the Vita was around 6k people were giving it shit every single time.
Two OP games on the 3DS?
That's what I thought. Someone brought it up as a reason that Sony likely wouldn't be blocking used at a systemic level - and it seemed to ring true - so I thought I'd get Media Create thread's read. Assuming they want to at least try and be viable in Japan it bolsters confidence that they won't be blocking used.
Last bit of info then. I know you're being sarcastic, but Demon's Souls 2 is in development.
Kingdom Hearts 3 will be on PS4. It's no secret at this stage that the game exists. The question I think Sony fans want answered is whether it's exclusive, timed exclusive or on multiple platforms. Regardless of when that question is answered, Kingdom Hearts fans will be happy because they'll be playing a next generation Kingdom Hearts after years of waiting.
There is a Kingdom Hearts PS4 game due to be released in 2014. I guess obvious enough which one? Not KH3 btw.
Well, Unlimited Cruise SP released back in May 2011, it's time for other OP titles on 3DS, no?
Now I'm wondering if we'll see Naruto games on 3DS too. I mean, not Rock Lee spin-off titles, but main Naruto titles.
If we are using conspiracy theory of EA vs Wii U then public attacks doing damage to Wii U would benefit EA as they mean more consumers choosing ps4/xbone
edit: why are we discussing small title like DS2 when that post mentions Kingdom Hearts 3 is in development for PS4 ?

Some retailer's first day impressions:
GamesMaya:
Shin Megami Tensei IV > Kamen Rider: Battride War > Valhalla Knights > Resident Evil Revelations > Terraria
Azalyn:
Shin Megami Tensei IV - 30 copies sold
Kamen Rider: Battride War - 24 copies sold (Sold out)
Resident Evil: Revelations (PS3) - 19 copies sold
Valhalla Knights 3 - 10 copies
Terraria - 3 copies (Sold out)
Osakaking:
Shin Megami Tensei IV first, then Valhalla Knights 3 and Kamen Rider. Kamen Rider is selling more than expected.
Yosipooh:
Kamen Rider and Terraria sold out. Terraria had just few copies but Kamen Rider was very popular. They had a lot of stock for SMTIV so no sold out yet.
Tadapon:
Shin Megami Tensei IV 40% sellthrough (bundle sold out)
Resident Evil Revelations 40% sellthrough
Kamen Rider (Limited edition) 80% sellthrough
Kamen Rider (standard) 70% sellthrough
Valhalla Knights 3 50% sellthrough
valhalla knights seems to sel reasonablyl well.
(unles every store has only low stock.)
Sony has to do something NOW and not just betting that being a remote play device for the PS4 will rescue the Vita (in fact, people will expect to user their phones for that not some additional device). By that time the Vita will be dead and forgotten.
Sony has accepted Vita is dead you know.
It'd be dead in the water.
