I feel you OP. Ever since I built my recent rig I've also been playing more on PC rather than on PS5.

If I didn't had built it, I would probably binged a PS5 Pro by now, but at the moment I don't see any reason to do it.

If I'm being honest, I'm more lean to actually do an invest to improve my rig rather than get a mid-gen update.

I used to stick with consoles bc my PC would heat up whatever room I was in. Until I got all wireless stuff and have my gaming PC in another room entirely and just run an hdmi cable into my home theater . Now PC is my main chick and I love it more than ever with crispy balls.

PC gaming is very different nowadays
compared to 10-20 years ago. You can game on a TV with a controller. All the Japanese games are on Steam. Sony games are on Steam.

Did you know 1440p on pc is different? The 4090 is stupid cause it's not a proper 4k graphics card by any means. I'm not knocking the card, it's made realistically for the %1 of any medium we've already knew, YouTube streamers, Disney, Mercedes Benz, US Military but many years later. The 4090 isn't for everyone and hobbyists are losers cause they don't fit into any category of the %1 and you are not one of them.

Lots of really cool things to experience from the different gaming mice to the awesome variety of gaming keyboard experiences that are available.

Yea I am done with the console. The ecosystem on consoles is terrible now. I will look at generation upgrades like upgrading my graphics card or building a new system every 6-8 years. The console experience flat out sucks now outside of Nintendo who still keeps it simple.

I still have my side bitch Nintendo but I have been a primary console gamer my whole life. There is one regret I have about selling my PS5 and my digital library..... The regret is I didn't do it sooner!!

PC feels so exhilarating with so many options. I am not tied to any subscription service and my library of games does not go away the minute I stop paying for it. The games deals are crackhead prices if you look around. I often find AAA games for $10 or less. The variety also cannot be beat. Any genre, any retro title, pretty much any game in existence you can play. I could go on about Steam and other digital store prices forever but there is also another option.

Retro title!: I often hear people bitching about why Sony doesn't add much to the older backlog. Well with a PC that problem is solved and then some. I have a 128GB USB flash drive I boot into on my PC with Batocera that plays any Retrogames in existence for absolutely free. I got the entire 8 bit, 16 bt, 32 bit, 64 bit, arcade (30,000+ titles) Some Gamecube, PS2, PSP, Dreamcast, it keeps going. Almost all of these games play better with upscaling and other technology. It's not all pirating either. If you own the game you are allowed to download the iso for it. All it takes is the willing's to learn and it can all be set up.

If you are a console gamer and thought about going to PC I can tell you my 1 month experience: There is some learning curve but youtube or forums like reddit can find you an answer for almost anything. If you really are on a budget you could always get the $1 game pass trial and that gives you 30 days of Great titles. The PC is about flexability. Even a moderate PC built today for $1000 should equal or even exceed the next Playstation or Xbox so the whole crazy cost thing is also a myth. I know people who have bought all PC parts second hand for a total of less than $700 that smokes any console to date including the Pro.

Plus on Xbox you can also easily pick up cd keys for way cheaper than the ms store just like on pc.

Also on Xbox I could chuck it in dev mode and also do all the emulators I could possibly want.

For as much experience as OP has with console gaming I would have purchased gear that will provide at least a console gens worth of longevity.

Your video card, processor, and mobo choice is going to limit your experience and upgradability in the short to mid term (2 years) imo.

There are no pc revenue numbers. They just combine everything into one. Then they give you a percentage split .

So you can claim this or that game sold more on pc but when it comes to revenue numbers consoles dominate and are the reason you get to enjoy those console games on your pc and yes you can shit on consoles how much better it looks on pc bla bla but that only cuz consoles pay for it.

Lets not bullshit each other here. Most of my pc games were torrented. I never paid for any game on pc. If it wouldnt be for steam or epic store , even now all of you would torrent the shit out of them.

So yeah gaming on pc is cheap. Its for fucking free if you want it to be lol.
