Was it unplayable on base PS5? I played it and it looked and played amazing. No man’s sky in VR is literally playable now. I wish I could muster the energy to jump back in…. Too much to figure out.

VR IQ was pretty bad… I wasn’t impressed. It played well enough performance wise though. Was it unplayable on base PS5? I played it and it looked and played amazing.
Playing Stellar B;lade in Pro Max mode. Incredible game.
Just went and switched between modes and I still prefer Pro Max so far. What is you doing?!?!
Play it in Pro mode!!!
Max is worse

like a prostitute? My thoughts are... I wish i had a pro in my hands.
Pro looks softer imo. Pro Max with VRR is CRISPY.Impossibru
Sorry man, but I don't believe you.Playing Stellar B;lade in Pro Max mode. Incredible game.
If sony wanted to sell millions they make a Eve VR sex game. But sadly sony hates money.Sorry man, but I don't believe you.
Better post some pics of Eve while being very close to the camera so we can appreciate all the finer details.
Too crispy. It’s raw 4k with taa so ghosting and dithering it’s there compared to pro mode. And it’s 50 fpsPro looks softer imo. Pro Max with VRR is CRISPY.
It goes between 50 - 70 fps. With VRR, it's my perfect way to play. So glad they give us the options cuz I'd be bummed playing in regular Pro mode.Too crispy. It’s raw 4k with taa so ghosting and dithering it’s there compared to pro mode. And it’s 50 fps
Very useful thread. Feels to me like the improvements probably just aren’t worth the purchase, especially as I have a decent PC set up.
Uhm, no, that's impossible without a patch.Even games with no Pro Patch look better. GTA V has better draw distance.
I put my ps5 pro in the air frier and can confirm. Too crispy.Too crispy. It’s raw 4k with taa so ghosting and dithering it’s there compared to pro mode. And it’s 50 fps

What airfryer u got that it's that large? The Oven?
Did you not see Digital Foundry testing. The Pro Max Native 4K image is technically worse than the normal Pro mode using PSSR. The Pro Max uses the original 4K fidelity image but has original ghosting and some other issues, and at only 50fps. You're sacrificing framerate and technically a worse presented image than normal Pro mode which has HFR of 80fps.Playing Stellar B;lade in Pro Max mode. Incredible game.

I'm sitting 10.5 feet away from my 85 inch and that's not even that close. I have toggled between the two modes myself and the image is sharper on normal Pro mode and I wouldn't be sacrificing framerate @ sub 60fps for pro max. Not sure where you're getting 50-70 fps window from either. There's a reason the included they Pro Max mode.
I'm 9' away from a 77" C3 and the difference in IQ is more impactful to me than the HFR. The 50-70 fps window with VRR looks and feels great, but the oompf factor from that IQ, is something I ain't going back from. DF be damned LOL.
I will taker higher resolution any day over higher frame rate. There's a reason the included they Pro Max mode.

With PC you still have to wait for PS exclusives to hit. It was a joke for RDR to make it on PC 14 years after the console release.
But there's nothing wrong with having everything if you can afford it. I did upgrade to a 4070 Super recently, but with the Pro around now, I'm thinking twice on where to play my games overall.
Series X was the 3rd party machine for me, but it might just be for gamepass games if I want to be cheap. Otherwise I'm looking to see how the Pro will handle those 3rd party games in comparison. If good, I play on there. Sony could potentially take market share away from Xbox if 3rd party games perform better on the Pro.
Seeing this improvement from Forbidden West and Rebirth, those alone made me feel solid about the purchase and the future of what games will capitalize on this new hardware.
The TV has a frame counter which I've seen go from 50 - 67 fps and with VRR it's smooth enough for me. It's so much clearer and enjoyable to me in Pro Max mode and I'm grateful the option is there. Not sure what's so controversial lol. Enjoy the game in whichever mode you prefer and be glad there's options.I'm sitting 10.5 feet away from my 85 inch and that's not even that close. Pro Max? No it’s locked to 50 weirdly. It goes between 50 - 70 fps. With VRR, it's my perfect way to play. So glad they give us the options cuz I'd be bummed playing in regular Pro mode.
Fair play. Skill Up's review has just cemented my decision not to bother with buying one... yet. I'll see whether any games will actually justify its purchase, or if waiting for PS6 makes more sense.
Just get a USB A to C adapter, or replace the cable if it's detachable. No need to be buying new hubs...I didn't realize the Pro replaces the front USB-A port with a USB-C port, so now my USB hub doesn't work. My 2 rear slots are occupied by an SSD and the PSVR1, so I need to buy a USB-C hub. Any recommendations? Currently looking at UGREEN Revodok USB C Hub, not sure if there's a better one out there.
For the most part, I bought the PS5 Pro in anticipation for the next four years of AAA releases, but honestly, I'm impressed by how much it improves currently released titles. From the build-quality of the hardware to the gorgeous UI to the graphical upgrade, everything about it feels luxurious.
Wow i like it. Gives me ideas. Didnt work on high end homes for a while now ever since i turned to manufacturing but this is a top notch design. For the most part, I bought the PS5 Pro in anticipation for the next four years of AAA releases, but honestly, I'm impressed by how much it improves currently released titles. Jedi Survivor looks incredible in the 30 FPS mode.
I normally only play at 60 FPS when the choice is there, but I feel like the FX and IQ take a big hit going from 30 FPS to 60 FPS in Jedi Survivor. Is it much worse in 60fps mode?
Is this a good game worth playing?
The original was just ok to me

I've played for an hour or so, but it seems really great so far. They really nailed the SW vibe.Cool, I’m fine with 30 fps if it looks really impressive and doesn’t demand it
Would you recommend the game itself?
