NPD Sales Results For December 2016 (and the year's best selling games)
That's kinda crazy, though Gears 4 must be down massively to Gears 3.
So, not sure why media hasn't jumped on the top 10 lists we provided. Not sure if tabs were a challenge or something. In any case, I'll put these here.
Wow really nice to see TLG feature on individual PS4 format at #9.
Really amazing game that deserves the sales.
I've only perused the thread but I saw an estimate of 300k sales which I think is really good for a niche game like this.

I've got the estimates for the first 3 months of Pokken:
Mar: ~251k
Apr: <<40k (much lower than)
May: <35k (highest selling Nintendo game this month)
and the first 2 months for LoZ:TP HD:
Mar: ~308k
Apr: <<125k (much lower than)
May: ?? (lower than Pokken)

Relative close to 360 version of FF XIII. Unexpected I would say.

Yep can't remember the amount but i know it over 55% down from gears 3 .

So right around same as UK, slightly better split here.
That should put XV around 400k units on Xbone then, slightly less. I'd say it was worth the port for that
Edit - ok so it's closer to 450k. Not bad at all

If they market it as a Disney game and just put Elsa on the cover it will do fine on xbox.

Hm, ads on TV only showed the Xbox One logo at the end. Guess I just missed the PS4 ones.

They sold over half a million (worldwide) on a apparent terrible platform (for JRPG). That is free money.

I mean it worth the port but it far from free.
I suppose they are happy with this sales on Xbox One, so it's close to zero, what makes me glad since I don't have interest in FF XV but would like to play KH III.

Xbox One being behind in install base hinders its overall share, but more people bought FFXV on XB1 than FFXIII on 360 when you account for digital, so that is a success. I know I am a +1 for digital XB1 when I didn't buy XIII at all.

Yes it is its selling on par with FFXIII on 360
GTA V is a juggernaut. The game by itself has sales totals that come close to the entire Halo franchise combined.
I would like to see a pro update.
It's the kinda of game that a good percentage of new owners of PS4/XBO pick up. It's a must have title, will sell until GTA VI is out.

Xbox numbers for FFXV are ok, but I wonder if SE is thinking about what FFXV would have done on PC day and date.
Yeah, it was up for $35 at the MS store, and $30 on newegg.
Final Fantasy XIII is at 660k WW on Steam.
I suppose FF doesn't have much audience on PC.

Well it was a late port and FFXIII did not have great WOM .
That's pretty good for a late, half-effort port.

It also released 5 years after it came out on console.
There is an opportunity cost for SE for diverting funds toward an Xbox port as opposed to a PC port. The question is if that cost is greater or less than the profit they got from the Xbox port.
Considering the lack of physical copies, delivery costs, production costs, stock issues (issuing credits for unsold stock), cutting out one of the middle men (just Steam gets a cut, instead of retail store + Microsoft), I'm leaning towards the money they lost from not releasing on PC was probably greater than the profit they realized on the Xbox version.

Well PC sales would be more on DD side .
So if they sell the same amount they would get more profit on PC .
That is if port cost are around the same .

I think FF XV did good on Xbox. Now I doubt that FF XVI will skip the platform.

Not good at all versus what? The Last Guardian which sold the same amount?
Which do you think cost more to make? By no means am I comparing it to the profitability of the PS4 version, but to act as if half a million extra sales means nothing to SE is stupid.
