Get back to me when Sony wins over 2 years in a row straight of NPD numbers.
Hell, I'm just glad Sony is announcing NPD numbers now, and that the Sony fan is excited for NPD numbers these days as well!

Is it possible that Wii U HW sales may decrease by 50% this month or will it stabilize above 125k thanks to Mario Kart 8?
Weren't those "estimates" based upon SINCE JUNE 9th, and not using NPD figures but some weird Microsoft internal tracking?

Man I thought for sure all those "I just bought a Wii U" threads translated into sales.
So I take this will finally shut up everyone who was inferring that people would buy the XB1 over the PS4 if they were the same price?

I gotta say yes to 2. I bought a 3DS and mario kart, 3d land are right there and on the cheap with smash bros on the horizon. In addition to what has to be the single greatest year for games on a single system in the last decade, 2013, number 2 is definite reality.

MK8 was almost surely the highest software SKU, then. I hope.
Fantastic! The Luigi Death Stare drives sales... is what we can say anecdotally with zero actual evidence. There's also no way to quantify this, but maybe there's a weird "nostalgia bump" for Nintendo? A new console MK instantly triggers fond memories of playing the others. When their numbers were so dead every month it's not hard to find something that's a "bump", I figure.
Well you're no fun at all!
This was MS last chance to over take the PS4 this year. Its a wrap folks. PS4 will lead console sale for the rest of the year.

\So what you're saying is, people are just too satisfied with their 360s?
Yep people are satisfied with 360.

The doom and gloom comes from the fact that the Xbox One doesn't do nearly as well worldwide as the PS4.
Any reason the MK8 totals aren't posted in the OP too?

Microsoft has an open dialogue with all of the major retailers that comprise the good majority of NPD.
They know their own hardware sales. They're not trying to mislead people.
Yeah mean like when the PS2 destroyed the OG Xbox? ^_^Get back to me when Sony wins over 2 years in a row straight of NPD numbers.!
Is the US market that important to Nintendo? Looking at the Media Create charts, it seems like Nintendo dominates in Japan (3DS at least) or is the Wii U just losing so much money across the board that it drags the rest of the company down.
How when the new SKU (that's not cheaper than PS4) released during a month without any major exclusives?

I really wonder if it's actually true that more 360 gamers are waiting to upgrade than PS3 owners. It doesn't seem to make sense that 360 games are outselling their XB1 counterparts. Maybe they're waiting for Halo. Who knows.I thought the Watch Dogs 360 version outselling the XB1 version was very surprising, personally.
Wii over 100k?!! 140k to be precise!!
This is huuuuuuuuuuuuge. First time ever it's over 100k outside Nov-Dec. First time ever Wii U beats the GameCube (monthly).
This is cause for celebration. Where's that gif of Nintendo guys in squids?
Wii U is hitting its stride.
MS doesn't have any major exclusives for the rest of the year, either.

Thanks. Not as bad as some would have you believe. Still a lot of room for improvement.
