I just tested it and am very very disappointed with this Pro update. First of all RT mode with pssr has straight up bad image quality. Secondly, just like Forza the rt reflections are hard to spot during a race.
There's an 8k mode, but I think you need a 120hz TV for it.
So I'm left playing the game in the previous mode (taa?) which looks identical to base ps5 ...they should've at least added some lod improvements to that
Fairly sure lod has improved.I just tested it and am very very disappointed with this Pro update. First of all RT mode with pssr has straight up bad image quality. Secondly, just like Forza the rt reflections are hard to spot during a race.

That would be silly given that 90fps+ is far far far more valuable.Holy shit!
I think it has RT on PSVR 2 on PS5 Pro.
It won't connect online so my options of cars is limited, but on the Xbow there is a digital dash and I can see my head looking at it. I went in really close and your head reflects in real time and it's super crisp. Maybe it's the increase in clarity, that I've never noticed before. It may just be some amazingly well done SSR, but I don't think so. It's late and I'm going to bed, but I'll check again with some different cars that have a bigger digital dash that reflects a bigger space. Someone else with PSVR 2 try it out and let me know.
Great update btw.
i find it funny that people dont notice the ray-tracing during the races but focus on the PSSR "artifacts"
Because it's obvious that it lowers IQ, unless you're blind or playing on a CRT... I completely understand someone who prefers to give up Ray tracing to have less flickering and aliasing. PSSR isn't magic, it's a good rescaler and has a future, but it's not magic.i find it funny that people dont notice the ray-tracing during the races but focus on the PSSR "artifacts"

You ever been in a bad relationship and dragged it on? Perhaps it's time to move on then pro seems to not be for youI just tested it and am very very disappointed with this Pro update. No! I love to see his misery posts. They fuel me. I love knowing he’s going through so much pain. You ever bren in a bad relationship and dragged it on? Perhaps it's time to move on then pro seems to not be for you
Nobody, but you are surprised that we notice the defects of PSSR more than the ray tracing. When you are playing, the drop in IQ due to the use of PSSR is more noticeable than the effects of ray tracing, even if it seems strange to you. For me it is very obvious, it is not something that is horrible, but accustomed to the very clean image that GT7 offers, it is very noticeable. I don't see anything strange in people commenting on this.who the hell said its magic
ray-tracing with mild PSSR artifacts suits me just fine.Nobody, but you are surprised that we notice the defects of PSSR more than the ray tracing. Doesn't Playstation allow for 60hz VR to be reprojected to 120hz?That would be silly given that 90fps+ is far far far more valuable.
lods look better and i dont see any upscaling artifacts
im looking more at the track side trees , they def have better lods nowIt seems that player car LOD is higher poly than before (perhaps photomode quality).
Finally the interior is fully modelled from outside view.
Ingame RT is pretty slick.
Biggest update imo is the PSVR2 res bump almostr eal life
While not disappointed, I agree that PSSR has room to improve in the RT front, mainly in 'chrome-like' parts (it reminds me a lot of DLSS 1.0 'aura'). Given the 'live' nature of GT7, I am sure they will keep updating PSSR.I just tested it and am very very disappointed with this Pro update. With PSSRIs this with or without PSSR?
As suspected, the Pro enhancement release updates will vary by dev.
Anyone try this with PSVR2? I'm not a big racing guy, but wouldn't mind diving in to check this out.
New reprojection alogrith for ps5pro remove ghosting visible especialy when you overtake cars or in vr replays but ufnortunetly introduce artifacts (I notice shimering on Bac Mono front also double hud for new w196 car)Anyone have PSVR2 impressions?
Really hard to spot the difference. Seems like the biggest upgrade is in VR. This is a game that already does native 4K 60+ fps on base PS5 so the room for improvement isn't exactly large if you're not overhauling your entire lighting system. Which of course they don't do for a mere Pro update. It only highlights how exceptionally presented the game is on a base PS5. This is how I wanted all current gen games to look and play.
That's replay though. Not actual gameplay. And I personally prefer the third person camera and the differences there are extremely hard to spot in gameplay. The improvements made on the actual tracks, vegetation and other cars are best described as modest.Really hard to spot the difference?
It's a lot better now, and it was already awesome before. Clearer and I believe LoDs are better. Didn't test a lot, though, only one Porsche race at Laguna Seca.As suspected, the Pro enhancement release updates will vary by dev.

Of course.
Once again I refer people to Cerngod's presentation. They turned the 30fps replay mode to gameplay at 60fps. This is what the PS5 Pro was designed to do.That's replay though. Not actual gameplay.
