It's a very simple strategy. Release the game with features that satisfy to the wokies and then remove them as a grift for the chuds. Both sides buy into it and they get double the money. This isn't even the first example either, look at the reaction to Lords of the Fallen. I bet there are some people who were tricked into buying that mediocre soulsslop based on the removal alone and its also too late for the wokies to get their refund by now.

Not really, more options can lead to feature fragmentation, and makes Q&A much more difficult since there are more conditions that need to be tested.

It would come across as far more authentic if you just said you don't care about the woke aspects but you're having fun with the gameplay side of things (which is exactly what plenty of the better streamers/let's play youtubers are doing).

From the screenshot the checkbox is unselected, so if thats the default it is "Display Identifier: (unselected) No" so basically it would be yes, display it. But also don't own the game so cant confirm.
