I am gonna try it out for 20 bucks but I am not expecting great things here. Ubi has become the most mediocre company there is. And Massive? I finished Division (6/10) and Avatar (5/10).

There was also World in Conflict (9/10) but that was in pre-Ubi days so it does not count.

I know Ubisoft doesn't want to hear it, but I'm not playing their two big 2024 games because of the main characters. There's just too much competition and too many games to play and these games cost way too much to make to mess around and make unforced errors but they just don't get it.

If the game is good, the game is good. I'll keep an eye on the reception. If things point to yes, I'll hit up Ubi+ to play it early until I complete it, and then just cancel my membership. Feels like a no brainer at this point, much like it was for PoP Lost Crown.

I mean, I'm a middle aged guy with 22 year old kid that no longer requires support and a job that allows me to spend money on frivolous shit. I tend not to worry about it too much, but I get what you're saying. I probably spend more than I'll spend on a full priced game on a night out at a bar every few weekends.
