I didn't realize ubisoft plus with new game is only for PC?

On the PS store there's only "ubisoft+classics" and it doesn't list this game as part of it.

Guess I won't be playing at all. The idea of paying $100 to play today, or $70 tomorrow...yeah no I'm good.
It’s on Xbox also.

Anyone else catch that line from Wakka (little after you get your ship)

He mentions the death mark on Kay and she goes "How'd you know that? I never told you that." And he's like "Ohhh uh everyone has heard."

He's totally going to fuck her over. Plot twist 101.

So after whole workday I wanted to play and this piece of shit just doesn't start. I start it in ubisoft connect, splash image appears and circle turns and turns and nothing. Tried verifying files, launching via exe, nothing.

Ubisoft is not a serious company.

It is a parody of one.

I have to admit that this game is growing on me. The first few hours are not a great impression but when you get deeper into the game and start mastering the gameplay and exploring, it's becoming more fun.
This is a fairly common take from what I can tell. I think it’s meant to mirror Kay’s cluelessness, which is referred to often early on, while also introducing you to mechanics. I suppose it’s drip fed too much for some.

I’m over 12 hours in and still on Toshara 😬

Got my ship and all but I gotta help out these Pykes and get some goodies.

Pro tip: Go after the Slicer sidequests early to unlock her skills as it includes:

Which will make the stealth easier

I think that might be the worst way to play. You have a space ship, you can hop planets and fly. The game begs you to go back and forth. Beating 1 planet at a time defeats that aspect almost entirely.

Kay is such a bad influence on Nix.

"Hey, you want that Nix? That other person's property? Hehe, go grab it"

I am getting tired of how one has to logon to Ubisoft every time I launch the game. It just took a little over two minutes. I wonder if I just disable my network on my PS5 if it will skip it?

Also the "resume" selection does not work on PS5. lol. So save often.

Nothing "looks... and runs" on Portal at all -- it's running on your PS5.

So ugh, the big display is an illusion, and the CPU inside that handles the streaming is all fictional?

I get your point, but you're being way too miopic. A crummy streaming device would do a poorer job.

nah, I think I'm going to spend my money and time how I feel like it.

Nah, the industry needs consumers who buy games FOR FUN, this is how this works.

If someone thinks its fun, has money and enjoys what they bought, the industry is working as usual.

Then so be it. Fuck you telling me? People should deny playing a game that is fun, solely because its "mediocre" to you? Listen man, not every fucking game needs to reinvent the wheel and I've found companies that even make those claims of adding something so "new" end up failing in the most simplest of areas (ie CP2077 making claims of being the next generation of open world gaming, fails to have Ai drive a fucking car and shoot).

We don't have a fuck ton of games every year seeking to do a host of brand new features, using your logic we'd be buying 1 game a year, at best lol

So what consumers need to do, is buy what ever the fuck they want, spend their time how ever the fuck they want, not this weird virtue signaling shit.

Thats like saying you'll buy the most boring game with zero fun, oh but the developer is soooooo nice to their staff, morally JUST and look at all the "new" features never done before.

(New doesn't always = fun btw, so we can stop acting as if that gimmick is now some new metric everyone should care about, I don't see most of you going nuts for VR so lol)
If you want better games in the future, you have to stop playing mediocre ones now, there's a million great games out there you can play from yesteryear, unless all you have is a current gen console.

But thankfully the future doesn't live or die on this one game, after a bad first impression it seems a little better than I initially thought, so fine.

The issue with Star Wars as an ip for me is anything that comes out now, even if it's a cut above, when it's under Disney still feels like fan fiction to me, for better and for worse Star Wars was Lucas' baby and without him as the guy with final say I just don't really care, if it's taking place in Disney's universe I just don't really care, but this game and Andor are at the top of the "maybe" pile for me.

Not gonna lie, outside of the janky stealth and sometimes frustrating checkpoints I’m really digging this.

World(s) and atmosphere are everything I wanted (getting away from Jedi/sith/rebels). Characters and story are better than I expected too.

The different gameplay mechanics with Nix are pretty fun too.

Yea, in some missions it does feel very 2013-ish Ubisoft stealth. In that sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

My only gripes with game thus far:

1. Stealth is janky
2. These unlocking mini games. This should be a thing of the past

Nah, I'm good lol

The fuck?

Sir, I'm sure better games will be made in the future by different teams, but you do not need to force, coerce or manipulate people to buy other fucking games, that isn't how any damn industry NATUALLY works.

People will buy and play what they want, the industry will move around what the actual market FACTUALLY is paying for, look at VR, there is your fucking "better" and non-mediocre, using your logic, people should be forced to buy that to have new, innovative and different games, I mean fuck what they like right? lol For the good of the industry, what do gamers know about their own money and how to spend their own time? lol
for better and for worse Star Wars was Lucas' baby and without him as the guy with final say I just don't really care
So I don't buy this "i just don't really care" cause for fuck sakes, I've been hearing this fucking fanbase say this shit for 12 years.

So...I don't care about Call Of Duty, you do not see me in every COD thread like "Without Jason West and Vince Zampella, I mean its not really COD, I just don't really care" (shows up next year again to remind everyone that I don't care about COD lolz)

Regardless Red, I do not subscribe to this idea of attacking users and trying to argue for the "good of the industry" what they should or shouldn't be playing, it crosses a line that I'm not ok with and I'm willing to debate and talk about anything regarding games, what I won't do is tell another user what they should be playing or shouldn't be playing for the "industry" as if this is some life or death moral thing lol

Let the industry sort itself out and it doesn't need you or me btw to tell others what they should play or something. The game you might think are "better" may not even have enough buying them to even make fucking sense, look at VR, I'm joking, but I'm also stressing this point, its new, its different, that doesn't mean EVERYONE GIVES A SHIT, its not something they like, its like me as a Sony fan yelling at everyone to buy it FOR THE GOOD OF THE INDUSTRY as if what they personally like is no longer relevant and my opinion on what is good for the industry trumps all. I mean shit, everyone here knows I'm deeply opinionated, but I draw the line at free will. I simply cannot tell a user to buy this or not buy that based on a view of the industry and its current state, as if I know what is good for a user or not in terms of how they like to have fun and spend their time.

I recall saying something like this when someone was asking about the lack of support for turned based JRPGs, like this idea of people boycotting action JRPGs and I reminded them, if people wanted to play those turned based games, they have many like Persona, Bravely Default, Octopath etc, why the fuck are those millions not just buying that? If the market wants it, the demand will show itself in those sales, so if gamers really hated Star Wars Outlaws and ONLY wanted new' different, VR would be doing wild numbers and them VR games would be outselling everything to reflect the market actually really wants this.

You or I do not need to force or argue for someone NOT to play something if the demand for what you are saying really actually naturally exist.

but I digress lol

Try doing a sprinting melee attack on imperials and bandits

She sometimes does this leap forward with a punch to the face move which actually looks pretty badass (and I THINK I’ve seen it in Creed)

The gameplay has been pretty enjoyable in the game so far, nothing special, and very easy to break the AI, but fun enough. Feels like a lived in world which I appreciate, even if I have been done with Star Wars for a while, this has felt distinct enough that you can kinda ignore the franchise it's from so far.

HOWEVER, the game does kinda scream DEI and it's a bit distracting. The only white people I've seen are maybe 1 or 2 random NPCs, and the villain at the start. Every one seems to either be a woman, of varying shades of dark skin tone, or an alien. It's just super distracting. It's not that I don't like the race of these characters, but Star Wars is a universe for those who have been a live a long time FULL of white people. It'd be like setting a story in Japan and no one looks Asian, or the main character is black...oh wait...

He is the best of the game

He is the main character…he does everything, all Kay does is come up with a stupid plan then fucks things up and comes up with another stupid plan while swearing to him it’ll be better while Nix does all the work. …I’m totally willing to adopt him and take him out of his abusive relationship…

hey!...

agree with all you mentioned (& i'm also not a star wars fan - quit after the original trilogy). once you kinda settle in, & get comfortable with the somewhat quirky mechanics, it becomes kinda homey. nix is the best...

This imperial base was huge, with dozens of ways to move around and get in/out

Also this is how much noise you can make and still be "in stealth"

Yeah I've noticed most people you engage with are women.

Found the dopest jacket, with some wrist wrap action.

Maxed out rep with the Pykes and Hutts. Working toward fully fucking over the Crimson Dawn. Already found all their vault keycards (and the Pykes). Time to bust in.

I don’t think I’ve been this sucked into a game since Starfield

Nix, want to attack that poor innocent scientist? Hehe. Then I will clobber them into a coma! Go boy!

This game is so good by the way. Reminds me of 2010's bangers.

At first I thought the sneaking worked a bit strange, then the takedowns are completely useless have no punch and just look stupid. Then the fights on the bike are not exactly well done. And then I was reset several times while sneaking. I uninstalled it for the time being. The game looks like it needed at least 1 year more development.

Since I got it on Ubi+ I was able to play Avatar and the new Prince of Persia. And out of all the new Ubisoft games, Prince of Persia seems to be the best one by a mile.

Played for one hour this morning and my first impression was very good. Voice acting for Ubisoft standards is very good and I love how lived in the world looks and feels. Can't wait to get back to it after work

I'm not there yet but don't you need to play for as long as you are the only one with any money left?
It's not that bad with fast-animation.

Is Fast animations like an option to speed up the game? Is it in the option menu?
