Switch 2 First Party Physical Game Prices: €90/$80 for Mario Kart and €80/$70 for Donkey Kong

Maybe not for you but for people who enjoy MK absolutely can….i put unhealthy amount of time on MK8 because I enjoyed a lot and entirely skipped GTA5.

So based on my taste I MUCH rather pay $80 for MKWorld over GTA6 no question.

Of course. People have different tastes. That's already established. For me, Mario Kart would make sense at half the price for me to consider it.

Zero mention of it during their showcase. Maybe Nintendo thinks their audience is too dumb? (As suggested by the game prices)

"And when it comes to the hardware, it is able to output to a TV at a max of 4K. Whether the software developer is going to use that as a native resolution or get it to upscale is something that the software developer can choose. I think it opens up a lot of options for the software developer to choose from."
It was a similarly vague response when Dohta confirmed the Switch 2's GPU is capable of ray tracing. "Yes the GPU does support ray tracing," he said. "As with DLSS, I believe this provides yet another option for the software developer to use and a tool for them."

Yes, DLSS (and Ray tracing) has been CONFIRMED. It's also CLEARLY listed in Switch 2 patents.

Stop spreading Misinformation.

And I prefer playing for free any AAA open world gacha to those. That means nothing.

What is objective is the financial investment poured into each of those games. GTA and MK are not in the same league, not even in the same universe. So, from a financial standpoint it doesnt make sense both games are priced the same.

And I'm saying this while not giving a fuck about GTA. In fact, I'd rather play MK than GTA, but charging that price is outrageous. The same goes with Astrobot, which is the better game, but wouldn't justify a price higer than 60.

This logic has never applied to video games. There's never been a correlation between dev cost, quality, and price.

Rockstar right now

Val Kilmer Reaction GIF
First of all I remembered. Val Kilmer has passed away. RIP.

Secondly I was really hyped up about Switch 2 and was planning to get my first Nintendo console. But with these games' price tags, I cannot handle it financially man. This is pure madness, I don't live in US or Europe and that means they would cost far more lot for me.
