I'm guessing this will be used by the operating system, possible the first few first party games released, and then quickly forgotten about

That's a new one on me. Is this a Gen Z thing?Lol… people knock PC for desk play
It is an option. I'm ok with all the options. I just want the option of an analog trigger so I can buy some racing games on the thing.
Yeah I know its "supported" but it seems weird. And not a lot of games support it. I just want FZero GX,. They literally can't make that release without Gamecube like triggers.the Switch 1 does support analog triggers on a system level. Developers simply need to support them and third party manufacturers can add them to their controllers.
I'm pretty sure that Fast RMX on Switch supports analog triggers for example. but I haven't tried it myself... I do have an 8bitdo SF30 Pro, I should check if it's actually supported on that
It's kind of the opposite. Nintendo is copycatting Lenovo here.
Hands-on: The Lenovo Legion Go can turn one of its controllers into a gaming mouse. Wait, what?

Fantastic. This series will finally be playable ! Can't wait to enjoy this on the couch. Some members mentioned a Fire Emblem with mouse controls.
Copying someone's good idea, but doing so incredibly poorly. It's the Nintendo way.you need to insert the joycon into some gliding stuffs
I don't see any reason it would be used for the OS judging from the Switch OS. What would be the need?I'm guessing this will be used by the operating system, possible the first few first party games released, and then quickly forgotten about
Super Mario Maker 3 with mouse support is worth it alone.Interesting, but I wonder what they will make me do in a game that I am not really sure I want to do. Drag and Drop for Mario Super Mushrooms
I was just talking to my kids about mario paint. This would make my day.
If you don't plant the seed, the seed won't grow. You didn't tell them about trying to draw naked ladies because we had no porn, did you?
They don't work good together.M&KB accuracy with aim assist in Call of Duty
I have zero doubts about that. Nintendo loves selling us controllers and peripherals.I’m mostly hoping it also comes with pro controller, I can’t see myself using “mouse” controller much.
I'm personally saving up for a Legion Go 2 with a Z2 Extreme, which looks awesome tbh.Darn thats awesome. Haven't looked properly into the Legion Go.
Doesn't look all that comfy but will make for a cool portable setup. Might get the second one when it releases.
It's a nice idea to have tbh.Sounds decent for tabletop here. I have a really hard time seeing how this would work well when playing on the couch though.
Hoping for the best. Potentially it sounds perfect for stuff like Metroid Prime 4 and Splatoon.
If the Switch 2 comes in at $450, then it will enter direct comparisons with the Legion Go S with Steam OS, which is $500, has a great UI, strong Steam Library, and supposedly is as powerful as an Ally X.Wonder if Lenovo will try something against Nintendo...
Man, I'm down. I was playing with micro machines the other week with my buddy's 2 year old. I forgot how much fun that stuff is! Lol. Making ramps and shit, "CAR CRASH!!" good times. You play Mario Kart 9 by physically placing the Joycons on the floor and racing them like they’re Hot Wheels cars

no uIf this is true then those joycons might be the most uncomfortable mice ever
It was actually seen as a gimmick by some groups of people when it first hit the market. These groups still exist, but have shrunk in size significantly. The "Keyboard & Command line Purists". They overlap a lot with Emacs and Vim users.Does that make PC mouse a "GIMMICK" as well?
You just have to duct tape two of them together, then it’ll feel great. If this is true then those joycons might be the most uncomfortable mice ever
The mechanisms are entirely different (Lenovo requires an additional included magnetic piece to be attached) so I don't anticipate that to happen.I meant, regarding the mouse implementation. Doubt Nintendo copied it but well, patents are usually broad.
MKX, Eternal Darkness, F-Zero G-One.Can someone leak the launch line up?
And the way you boost is by making “vroom vroom” sounds into the Joycon microphoneMan, I'm down. I was playing with micro machines the other week with my buddy's 2 year old. I forgot how much fun that stuff is! Lol. Making ramps and shit, "CAR CRASH!!" good times.

Some seem concerned about how uncomfortable mouse mode will be, but for my usage it will be good enough. For example on train trips or when I want to design some clothes in Animal Crossing. So I don't see myself using that mode more than a few hours at a time at most, but it's nice to have the option. And there'll most likely be third-party shells to make it more comfortable for those who need it.
Cool and all, but why didn't they hit up Wacom and get a stylus in there too?
It'll definitely have touch/stylus support on games that enable it!
There's no way it's not a touch screen.
