Are there any trailers for this that actually show the mecha for more than half a second? It feels like they're trying to strategically hide it by showing lots of pewpewpew and explosions but no actual mecha.

Can't trust a mecha anime that doesn't have its own mecha featured prominently in the promotional materials.

There's some action in the very first trailer. The second trailer was focused specifically on the characters, which is why they deliberately avoided action scenes in it. Also, I think they were trying to keep the other mecha designs in the show a secret before they announced the designs on the site recently. Hopefully we'll see something soon.

It's more like none of the mechs have any defining features that tell me "oh that's from Valvrave/Majestic Prince/whatever". They look like derivatives of every other real robot that's ever been designed.
